I am the biggest catrike fan out there. I ride a 559 and a700 interchangeably . No e-assist yet for me at age 72. I’ve toured the factory and it is incredible. I call the 559 my Lexus sedan and the 700 my Porsche 911. The folks there are the best to deal with and very responsive every time I have a question. I ride all over New England 8 months a year and Florida for the other 4. I have ridden the two trikes tens of thousands of miles with absolutely fabulous performance, durability and reliability. No major repairs of any kind ever. An incredible group of machines at a great price point. Riding Catrikes has really changed my life as I could never ride an upright for the number of miles I do per year……I ride 30 miles minimum per day and do approximately 1000 miles per month year round. Put on Schwalbe Marathon plus tires and they last forever. My bike shop uses me as the ambassador every time a client comes in and asks about them.

"Wow, you're an absolute inspiration! Riding 30 miles a day at 72 on your 559 and 700 is incredible-no wonder your bike shop calls you the Catrike ambassador! Keep those wheels turning!"

@@markfeldman6509 Where do you ride in Florida? We just moved and have started shopping for a trike. I tried HP, Azub, Ice. When I sat on the 559 it felt like “the one” 👍. Didn’t try the 700 or Dumont though

@@sylvain65 I stay in the Delray Beach/Boca area for 4 months and ride the El Rio trail in Boca which attaches to trails around FAU and the library and park facilities. I also ride in the county parks associated with the golf courses as they are beautiful with secure bike lanes and many many miles of pretty riding. I ride in Burt Aaronson Park in west Boca which goes between Yamato and Glades just west of 441 at Osprey Point golf course. I also ride up in Okeeheelee State Park around the golf courses in a gorgeous natural reserve…it’s in Lake Worth. Many times I go to the beach and ride up A1a in Boca and up in Jupiter. You can buy an annual parking pass and park in beach lots, ride your trike then go to the beach. It’s about $100 for a yearlong pass and a bargain as daily parking in season is $35. The 559 is an incredible trike . Super comfy and fast. The Dumont is a 559 with suspension to even out bumps but hardly worth the extra $1000 as I never ride rough surfaces. If you are going to be riding in Florida then don’t spend $2800 for e assist as it’s totally flat there. The 700 is spectacular and beyond fast but not as comfortable and harder to get in and out of. It’s my speed demon. The HP and Azub and ice are wonderful trikes but significantly more expensive and not worth the extra premium. Also, Catrike factory is in Orlando and their customer service is beyond incredible. If you call there a person actually answers the phone and connects you directly to the department you need. If you need a part or any accessory you get it next day. ICE is british, HP German , azub Czech. You will wait forever for anything. Contact me if you are going to be in my area. I bring both trikes to Florida and arrive mid December. You can take an extended test ride on my 559 to see how you like it. My direct email is teeball525@aol.com

I would like to know how you transport the folded trike and it not fall over. It seems like if I lay it on its side so it won’t fall over. There’s something that I’m going to damage help me out here to understand this.

I have a demont ecat do not understand how to keep it from falling over after it’s folded or can you fold it over and I am just worried about something being damaged
@LaidBackCyclesКүн бұрын
In my truck I keep it folded upright and strap it to the side. In my wife's SUV, I fold it and gently rest it on its side with a cushion under the derailleur.
