Tern (Bicycles) Cargo Rack is the bees knees when it comes to a trike rack. Has a protected recessed area for a light, although I have a DiNotte Rear Light mounted up on the headrest tube. The recessed area for the light has a rounded area that I use as a handle. Make it easy to load and unload the trike, and moving it around. The sides have far more protection and works great with all panniers. The rack is adjustable from 20 inch to 27 inch tires. And has an out-of-the-way bungee cord. However I also use a Jandd Rear Rack Pack II that is similar to a Wedge Pack I bought in 1992. Still have the former pack but it needed replaced.Has side pockets, carry tire irons, and a small prescription jar of small parts, zip ties, tape, rear reflector, upper pocket area for gloves and USB cables, and it has a smaller bungee cargo area too. There is a place to carry a hand pump, and small loops that help support your flag mounts, and a shoulder strap if needed. The walls are insulated with a thick material. Not too many know about the Tern Cargo Rack for a trike rack. Was luckily to find mention of it on the former TerraTrike Forums when Chonk was still running the boards. And one thing I would suggest is to carry a wrench for your rear axle in the pack as well. Rover requires a 15mm, and I carry it in there, along with a couple of chain tools. The small parts jar is a short-wide prescription bottle that locks, Carry all sorts of extra screws, extra SPD cleats, master clips for the chain, scabs, more.

like watching your videos. But there are a couple of items i would like to see your thoughts on. the first one would be the proper way to set your boom, maybe you have one out on this already that i may have missed. The other is suggestions of how to outfit your trike for a bike tour { i have not seen one for trikes just bikes}, i know this will vary but would like to see some thoughts on it other then using a trailer.

Versa Bars give more real estate for mirrors, cameras, cycling computers, lights, and more. On my channel I have Myrracle mirrors, and on the left is a GoPro 6 Black that shares part of the mirror with what is being record in fronts on me. When on the road or trails the camera is running. It is my unbiased witness should something every occur. With the mirror it picks up what comes up behind and to the side as well. Can see those on my videos.

I'm trying out the Hafny brand of bike mirror. To fit our trikes into our cargo trailer, we have to turn the mirrors inward to make the trikes fit. We have a TT GTS and a GT, both with horizontal handlebars. The Mirricycle mirrors constantly loosen, need tightening, and frequent readjustment as a result. The road vibration would also affect them, rendering them useless and giving a load of frustration! Hence, the Hafny with a fixed insertion, a rotating mast and articulating mirror that can be rotated for transport without disturbing the arm that is inserted into the handlebar. Will see how it works if I can train my better half to leave the insertion part of the arm alone!😂😂😂

I've seen on the Mirrycycle that sometimes a washer is left out when putting them together. The instructions call for 3 washers and when I find them loosening its been because there were only 2. May or may not be why they are loosening.

@LaidBackCycles I need to check that, then. Where are the washers located-I see one on the arm where the mirror is mounted, and one on the mast where the mirror arm attaches to the mast. I've removed the long screw from the handlebar insertion arm, no washer found in that assembly at all. I'm thinking that the third washer would fit where the long screw head is seated into the insertion arm? I rode the Amish Land and Lakes Tour in Northern Indiana yesterday, and the Hafny did no better than the Mirrycle with the road vibration. But it has a shorter insertion arm. On my GTS, the handlebar grip extends out about an inch or a little more, so I had to work with it by extending the expansion wedge beyond the end of the insertion arm- but it didn't hold on my tour yesterday. Glad I had my wire eyeglass mirror for backup.

I had to return the Hafny Mirror. The handlebar grip on my GTS extends beyond the handlebar and the insertion arm is shorter than the one on the Mirrycle. So I've installed the Mirrycle again, but this time so that the mirror itself is beneath the handlebar instead of up and out. So far so good. No problems with the extension affecting loading. I can see behind me using it. I haven't given up my eyeglass mirror, though!

I have marathon plus on my touring bike. They have been decent. Steel belted radial wire has been a weakness, maybe. But on a trike with high-volume tires -- 50mm+ -- people should consider Tannus liners. It's a similar concept -- just a think layer for penetration to occur. For what it's worth, I think foam liners do better the lower the psi, which is why I don't run them on the touring bike. Also, installation can be tedious.

We've been installing the Tannis and they are great protection. And yes, they can be a real pain to install :( sometimes.

Marathon Plus are decent and heavier for road use, but lack traction on hard pack trails. I swapped over to Pick Up Cargo tires from Schwalbe and could not be more happier with them. Great for rural roads and hard pack trails. Got them too late in the season to try paved trails, yet on rural paves roads they were still good.

I don't use my chain that much it has the motor in the front wheel. I use the electric motor 99 percent of the time. I would peddle of course if my battery was getting desperately low.
