As someone who has suffered much loss, and who was an investigator for 20 years - good advice. But being an investigator and being logical backfires too sometimes. When mom died something happened in my apartment when my friend was over. She started crying and said it was a sign, but of course my brain kicked in and tried to debunk - which I couldn't, and I was mad at myself for trying to debunk (and still mad because I don't believe it). For anyone who has suffered loss, heed Beardo's advice - dont go on youtube looking for answers and for the love of everything do not go to a medium. There are so many out there that prey on those who go through grief, and it can really mess you up emotionally and mentally. I truly believe if a 'sign' is to happen, it will happen when you least expect it , but dont live your life looking for that sign or answers. Our loved ones want us to go on with our life, and remember them with love - for they live in our memories and stories. And some bonds cannot be broken, you dont need fake youtubers or fake mediums to verify that.

I’m a fairly new subscriber to your channel. I watched Lee from Really Haunted faithfully and I always took time out of my day to comment on his channel. I always ended my comments on his channel saying that I would keep him and his family in my prayers…and I did. I didn’t just say a prayer for him and his family on a video that had been released, I’ve prayed for him every single night. It makes me mad that he blatantly deceives his viewers. He is raking in cash and it’s all a fraud. I have left a few messages on his channel recently, even though I didn’t watch it, saying that he should do a live stream. All the other times Leigh would respond to me and now nothing not even a peep. He knows if he does a live stream he’s screwed.

You are brilliant Beardo. I had a similar experience, when I was a child I somehow developed an ability to see and communicate with spirits. Couldn’t control it, it would just happen on random occasions. When I was 30 yrs old my mum passed away, she was my best friend. In my grief I couldn’t understand why, with my abilities, I couldn’t communicate with her. Why wouldn’t she choose to tell me she is ok. This is when I turned to paranormal KZbin channels and started believing if I just bought this equipment or did certain things, I would be able to communicate with her. Huff Paranormal was a big one for me back then. I spiralled out of control with my mental health, ended up in hospital several times after trying to end it all. Make no mistake, it was those fake channels that was the catalyst for this. Thank goodness I found The Shape & your channel, to wake me up. Hey Beardo I'm back home after my trip to Waverly Hills Sanatorium and had a great time during my ghost hunt. I lucked out and went on a night where it was Thunder storming 😱 it made it extra creepy haha. There was a person in the tour that had an SLS camera which was neat. And a chick with a cat ball. And the tour guide had a thermo camera and a millimeter. It was so much fun. I took many pictures with my Polaroid camera but didn't catch any shadow people 😢 I did go almost all the way down the body shoot but the tour group was leaving me so I had to stop going down. Later on I tried to go to the body shoot by myself but chickened out because the rain was pounding on the tin roof approaching the shoot haha 😅 I wish I wouldn't have chickened out but it was extremely scary haha. The cat ball went on and off a few times during the investigation and no really compelling stick figures really popped up on the SLS camera. That's all... have a great day Beardo.

Love you beardo. Lainey and Ben along with Lee really haunted fooled me to believe because I didn't have a clue about masking and all the trickery. Thank god I didn't give them any money! I have experienced paranormal activity after my wife died unexpectedly in 2019 through a brain haemorrhage at the age of 41. I moved back In with my dad to look after him because he was diagnosed with vascular dementia. The very same week there was a knock at the back door and my dad's tele went off. This happend 5 times. I can't explain it , but the very next day there was a hair hair bobble left on the basin in bathroom. Me and my dad are bald and no one in the rest of the family that comes to the house uses hair bobbles ! Only my missus so I do believe she was messing with me because she had a wicked sense of humour. So at first I believed in all those channels bs but thankyou for calling out the fake shite ❤

Not that I was expecting anything, but I only was once told thank you, but people that gave $100's on live streams were thanked all the time. I know $20.00 a month doesn't sound like a lot, but when you live on a fixed income and have to buy food, medicine, pay bill's, take care of other household expenses, and buy clothing, it's a lot! You know it’s good when you have to put on a damp t-shirt! I don’t know when it became better to be a liar (L&B) and wrong to be a debunker (truth teller). It’s like little kids getting mad that they got caught! For the woman that emailed you, my heart goes out to her. As you know, and I have said, you made me see the light as well. Between my dad passing, my niece passing ( a major news story in the US), and caring for my MIL at home on hospice, my heart truly goes out to her! Those fakers do cause further mental health issues where therapy is needed. I should know and I know I’m not crazy! It’s issues with certain people (absolutely not everyone) and their own dealings with the brain, and grief, and depression, and death, and hope, and the longing for something you can’t have back. There was another channel (can't remember the name of it) that basically said that lee and lainey and ben had said their channels were for entertainment purposes and that everyone knows they fake their content and that they have been debunked many many times. The comment section of that video was then full of their supporters (even after all the evidence to the contrary) still saying it's real. Some people just can't see the woods for the tree's sadly and will never believe it's fake until the scammers actually admit it is!

Im now a member of both you and the shape because i believe so strongly in what you guys do. Im not rich, i work hard for what i have. And because i feel so safe and welcomed into this debunking community i have admitted that im kinda psychic due to dying as a baby i think. Ive been haunted in every house ive lived and people have witnessed stuff happening to me, my ex that hates me will even admit stuff. It would be so easy for me to start a 'psychic Denise' channel and do readings, but im not always right. I could charge a lot for it too, tell my paranormal life history and fk work off. I have a broken back, sometimes i do need a wheelchair/ crutches. Ive also got M.E/CFS which is horrendous. But bigger than any of that i have a heart and a conscience. I couldnt live with myself, even though they would be genuine readings, because its exploiting vulnerable people online. Its deceptive and its greed driven. It needs to stop. Thank you beardo! Your rant is welcome. In my research into mediums etc there seem to be tons of people with gifts that have had a near death experience or have died and come back. I wonder if it opens a part of the brain that wasn't acceptable before or if it breaks the veil a bit. I find it fascinating. I'm sorry for all the health issues you face. I understand back pain more than most I have had 2 breaks in my back. Or a break then a re break years later. I'm not saying to the degree of yours but yea I suffer with pain every day. Funny you mentioned smoking. I smelled cig smoke, my partner echoing it. My parents came to mind. I believe they check in, time to time. I know when it's my mom alone as I smell lilacs. Our good memories are our 'ghosts.' Those that prey on others deserve every bit of hell they get!

Omg I cannot believe this!! I have been a fan of Really Haunted for ages. Ghosts on Trent pointed me to your channel as I was undecided whether to believe it or not. It's such a shame that there are channels/people out there faking it, and ruining it for everyone, when there are people like yourself and so many other channels out there that are actually legit putting their all into it, to try and prove the paranormal exists! It's the fact that they have fleeced so many grieving people that they are getting attacked and NOT the debunkers? That other people have a brain and find out later down the road on their own accord, that they have been fleeced? Or maybe it could be a friend or a relative that took note of their friend or relative losing great amounts of money and as any good relative or friend would do, look into it? Think about this. Any one with a brain can see you can't just blame debunkers alone!

Ya I've had interactions with them and some of their subscribers after seeing L&B comment thanking their subs for their prayers. I asked Ben to do better and stop conning people for sympathy and money. They know their followers believe it's real and they totally take advantage of these poor ignorant people. I think you're spot on target with everything you said here. As far as your channel making money...why wouldn't it?! Why shouldn't it?! You put out good content. However, your channel does NOT earn money by deceiving anyone with false pretenses or outright lies. It does NOT make money by taking advantage of the weak, innocent or gullible. It does NOT make money pulling at the heart strings of people. The money you earn is made with honesty, honor, integrity and damn good content. You even leave respectful comments of people who disagree with you, bc as an adult you don't require everyone who watches you to see everything the same exact way as you do, or agree with 100% of everything. Well done that Beardo. I think that your sincere and heartfelt passion for the truth can console those finding their way here after being conned by fakers. I love that you do point people towards channels that carry out honest investigations to the best of their ability week after week, year after year. These guys, when the do record something that can't be de bunked, when they capture just a hint of something unexplained well that can do more to lift my spirits than anything else because it is genuinely exciting.

Absolutely well said. These video creators do not have a belief in the paranormal as they are creating all 'evidence' themselves. Fair enough, they create the content for monetary purposes , but don't manipulate the vulnerable people who are genuinely searching for hope and assurance.
