I can't believe that I was finally able to do these braids!! And they turned out SO cute! I've been fed up with other tutorials just rushing through the process and being like 'oh this is the most simple braid ever, it takes like 30 seconds' and then basically not even showing how to do the damn thing. Sometimes it helps to stop watching yourself in the mirror and just focus on the feel of it... Or vice versa, if you aren't using a mirror, try watching what you're doing to make sure it's going right

I know this is an old comment but hopefully this helps someone. The easiest way to explain this is that you take your two sections, and twist them up both in the same direction. Once they are twisted, you twist them together the OPPOSITE way. So you first twist each piece in one direction, then cross them over each other in the opposite direction
