I love how half of the songs pseudo-instruction is framed as coming from chilchuck to laios, like this middle-aged father spent a couple weeks around laios and thought "okay clearly no one gave this autistic young man pointers on how to spot a euphemism" and this song was just born out of that

Hes unironically one of the best characters for autistic rep because they don't make it his whole personality or bang you over the head with it like shows like the good doctor, and despite it he can hold his own in a fight, can keep level headed and has friends who know hes different but they dont care and just love him for him

honestly, i'd argue that it's *because* of his autism that he can hold his own in a fight (at least, against monsters). he knows so much about them- how their bodies are laid out, what their weak points are, how to catch them off-guard. laios is really smart, and he puts his knowledge to good use!

What makes Laios the BEST autistic representation is that after his fight with Shuro, he doesn't resolve to "fix" his obliviousness. The show doesn't treat his autism as a problem to be solved, or put the onus of impossible adaptation on him. It simply states "this is the way he is. It can sometimes cause problems, but that's ok."
