The respect and courtesy Gabby shows to her husband is immeasurable! No interrupting or correcting, she is obviously in awe of him. We need more of this in the world.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. I feel like you two have found this together. I think this episode shows how you are two sigma's that have been lucky enough to have found symbiosis. An extremely rare occurrence. Great show, Gabby!

I am far from FIT sadly - I lost my mojo for exercise! I just bought another bag of Laird Performance Mushrooms yesterday - seriously , I’ve been using it since it came out - years - I figured if it’s good for you it’s good for me! I also am enrolled in the Chek Academy which I originally heard about from you both when Gabby interviewed Laird on ESPN! That’s more than 10 years ago. I was working in the organic & natural food industry for years in NEW YORK and studied nutrition. I immediately googled Paul, bought his book & You Are What You Eat. You two have really inspired and influenced by life! Thank you ❤ Tomorrow is my birthday! I’m a wealth of health knowledge, I’m requesting to be on your podcast! Pretty please! ❤

I live in Malibu and see Laird at Anawalt Lumber all the time. He always seems like he is having fun! As a Surfer, I tend to enjoy my day more if I know there is some play at the end of the day. I guess the key is balancing the things we do for money and the things we do for fun. This is hard in the world where money often determines what we are required to do with our day. Just give me one wave at Twilight and all the tedious stuff disappears and I go to bed a thankful human. Love the podcast!

I appreciated both of you sharing your thoughts in this conversation. It was interesting enough to me that I did not feel the need to skip ahead and I wanted to listen until the end. I heard a lot of wise statements from both of you and you are both younger than me!

What a way to flip the discipline approach! I saw it the conventional way. “I love soccer therefore I “must run to get endurance” and practice to get skills, and run sprints for endurance at a high pace etc etc” which resulted in not loving the sport as much and saw the negatives of the fun. While I enjoyed training I saw it as a “it needs to get done” and not as a “if I do this more I will enjoy my sport a lot more” What a great outlook on embracing the fun in the pain and dissecting it in a digestible manner that will ultimately result in favorable results that will keep loving your discipline! Edit: within the first 30 min I can see how different yet complimentary both of you are to each other. 👏🙏

Wow, brought tears to my eyes after the second minute - where you quoted the scene from Winnie The Pooh - that it's time to not have fun in life anymore.

Laird and gabby ate relationship goals! You can tell laird is the good cop and gabby is the is the bad cop in ther family just by the seriousness in gabby eyes all the time and lairds relaxed temperament.

I totally relate to her about getting through the holidays and not really enjoying them but that could be because she has to shop, prep, clean, decorate, cook, and host compared to her spouse. I wish I could flip it and have fun with it instead, I like that.
