I love that you both spoke the language, I feel appalled that the guy from the boat tried to rip you off, PLEASE dont let that bad experience dictate how you view my beautiful honest people from Guatemala. Thank you for sharing the beauty of Lake Atitlan. Im getting married in a month, my future husband and I have decided that we are going to Guatemala for our honeymoon and Lake Atitlan is a MUST!

Thank you for the invite to stay!! We are so lucky to have spent so long here. It is a real privilege to spend so much time in a country we are not citizens in. We still have more time here thankfully, but eventually we will have to go to a new country 😩

Hi guys , I’m so happy that you guys are enjoying my country so much. Fun fact , these is a big controversy controversy involving the book, the little prince, Salvadoran people claim their country is the inspiration for the book, just because the writer was married to a Salvadoran lady. They were heading to El Salvador ,but had to land in Guatemala because mechanical issues with the plane. They ended staying in Guatemala for a long period. Mostly in atitlan and Antigua. So there is the controversy , we claim is our country the inspiration for the book, we’ll never know!😃. Safe travels guys!

Your videos are very inspiring and thoughtful on the locals! For me San Juan has grown on the past 4 to 6 years to become a lot more open to tourism. Before that the town felt much more authenthic, super closed comunity and a truer and less of a trurist trap kind of place, I miss that San Juan, but so glad to see economic growth for the locals.

Thanks for sharing! We are glad the economy is doing well for the locals too.

2:41 I hate when people try to over charge tourists. When I was in Guatemala and I found gringos I always told them the prices so they don’t get overcharged, for me that is rude. Trying to take advantage of others in any country it’s not cool.
@nicoleandmico2 ай бұрын
We really appreciate it when locals do that! To be honest it’s not really the price that bothers us, it’s just the intentional deceit and trying to trick us. That part really gets us 😔 We appreciate it when we hear recommendations and honest info like you give so thank you so much!

I was waiting your next video of Lake Atitlán. Is good to see that you both are learning about the culture around the towns of the lake. Each one is a little different, but each one has something to learn about. I hope you and Evie 🐕🥰 still having a good time here in Guatemala. Wish your next destination still here in Guatemala. I recommend you in Cobán Semuc Champey, Waterfall Sachichaj, Hun Nal Ye Reserve, Lachua Lagoon. Or in Petén archaeological park Tikal and Yaxha, Chechenal Beach, Tres Naciones Beach, Flores Island (this one for winter is a little flooded 😢), Cráter Azul. I apologize for the men that charge you more of the price, i don't know why he do that 😡. Hugs for Evie, please.

I am from Guatemala and I have really enjoyed your videos. I think they praise the natural beauty and the unmatched hospitality of the Guatemalans. I think you don't go to the typical places where tourists go, I think you prefer to show more indigenous places and get to know more about the locals. I would like you not to leave Guatemala without visiting Tikal, Uaxactún and El Mirador in Petén, the latter being the place where the pyramid with the largest volume in the world is located. You should also visit Río Dulce, Livingston and the Castillo de San Felipe in Izabal. Additionally, Alta Verapaz, Quiché and Huehuetenango. I think you should contact the National Institute of Tourism with the director, Harris Whitbeck, who worked at CNN and who will be pleased to facilitate these transfers, due to the good material you upload on KZbin and how well you promote our country.
