@@benstone9925 Sphyre are terrible lol did you see my other review video? The s works are decent but mid foot is tight with near zero flex in the dyneema upper.

@@addictcyclist I did. It was great. But I don’t have a wide midfoot, which seemed to be your complaint about them. I have a wide toe box so thought I’d try them too n and if I don’t like them I can return them.

What’s your size!
@pope406 Жыл бұрын
Is the Lake sizing accurate? My foot length is 270mm and the width is 11. From the length that would be a 43. But usualy I have 45-45,5 - but maybe that was to accomodate for the greater width of my feet.

Order your normal size. I used lake recommended and was too small

I have Lake - CX 241 with a similar moldable heel but even after molding the hell would still slip
@addictcyclist3 жыл бұрын
I literally just ordered those to try. Placed order hour ago. How are they overall? The 332 have a really deep curved sole. Was hoping the 241 was a little flatter and not as deep and contoured
@zikaperic21333 жыл бұрын
@@addictcyclistIndeed 241 have flatter forefoot and overall super comfy but not the stiffest upper part.. for 2021 Lake claim they made heels tighter so I am really curious to know if they resolve the issue..

I have wide feet. These shoes are too much for Turkish money. Do you have any suggestions for more affordable extra wide fit shoes?

I tried them all from all the brands. Lake is the best option. Next best is cx301, cx241, lastly Cx238.

Consider ordering 44.5 in regular width. I don’t have enough time on them to speak to longevity but the kangaroo leather is really tough.

how to do compare the sizing with your previous bont vapor s? I always read to half size down with lake compared to bont? is this correct? thanks for the nice review
@addictcyclist3 жыл бұрын
I had to go 45 with Bont. I ordered both 44.5 and 45 at the same time to compete. You and I agree, half a size down with Lake vs Bont.

How do they deal with heat and rain vs other brands using synthetics?
@addictcyclist3 жыл бұрын
They run a little hotter than my Shimano sphyre but nothing where it’s a problem. The few cool mornings you can feel the airflow / venting. I have not ridden in rain but a friend has. They are no noticeably different and dry fast. Maybe a little heavy while in the rain as the draining seems less than my other shoes.

@@addictcyclist thanks a lot! Internet is not reach in the actual reviews of how the shoes perform. I am close to buying a pair of Lake shoes and 332s are also an option.

Size 44.5 Shimano, what size are your Lakes?
@addictcyclist3 жыл бұрын
44.5 as well. The lake size calculator had suggested smaller but I kept the same mm length as the Shimano. The EU and US sizes vary from manufactures but the mm length is fact.
@achn2b3 жыл бұрын
@@addictcyclist Pretty much every other pair of shoes I've owned have been a size 43, but after measuring my feet multiple times and referring to Lake's fit guide, I bought 238's in a 43.5.. Although I do have a cheaper pair of their mountain shoes in 44, just because they didn't make that one in half sizes.
@addictcyclist3 жыл бұрын
@@achn2b I tried the 238. Great shoe and fit! I had too much heel slippage and the width in the wide was too wide at 115mm. My foot measures 108 and 109 so the 332 in extra wide at 111mm was spot on. The moldable heel is flawless as well. Good luck with your new Lakes!
@achn2b3 жыл бұрын
@@addictcyclist Yeah, my feet are about 99/100mm wide, so the 238 regular is the perfect one for me.
@goforbroke22 жыл бұрын
@@addictcyclist Interesting results you posted, my foot measured 110mm so I opted for the MX238 wide because in my size 44.5 they provide room up to 117mm wide. Well I just got mine in today and these shoes are narrow in the toe box. It's odd that Lake specs the shoe with so much room, because if you take out the insole and measure that it's only 100mm wide in my size. I've been wearing barefeet shoes for years and the insole width always tells the story of how wide in the toe box a shoe really is.
