Nice vid. Used to stay in a cottage many times in Hartsop and my wife and I have done this walk in many guises. Though our favourite walk in the area is to start at rhe church in Troutbeck on the A592 and take the footpath at The Howe. Then we head to Yolk, Ill Bell, Froswick, Thornthwaite Crag, back to Park Fell, and The Tongue. Then follow the slightly higher path down the valley and head to the pub at Limefitt Holiday Park for a swift pint of Wainwright's.

A proper Lake District day! Great video. My knees still haven't forgiven me for my Gray Crag descent and that was back in May 😅

Thanks, Ian! Yes, it’s a long descent, isn’t it?!

hi Neil, great video as usual. how long a walk is this? thanks for all these adventures to come.

Thank you - sorry I missed this comment. It's about 8.9 miles, but we always take longer (with filming) than a straightforward walk would - I'd guess about 6 -7 hours?

Hello. Brilliant series of videos. This particular video is of interest because we did the Coast2Coast in 2015. Sadly we had very similar weather at Kidsty Pike, mist and no view. Later in the day we arrived at Shap and from our accommodation there was Kidsty Pike clear as in all it's glory. We did the walk in September and that was the only day like it the whole 16 days of the walk. Cheers from New Zealand.

I did this walk in 2018 (minus High Raise) but in the opposite direction. I also covered part of your route in 2011 during my C2C. It was great to watch your video and to relive fond memories. Keep up the good work.
