I have the same Victory rod but use a moderate action when fishing a chatterbait. The slight delay in the hookset successfully lands more fish. I was losing too many on a fast action fishing a chatterbait.

Here is Massachusetts illegal immigrants love to eat Bass from all our lakes leaving us with blue gill (which they bucket as well), chain pickerel, pike, and a few elusive lake trout. I haven’t had good bass fishing for years and I’m jealous, not to mention the constant algae bloom and E. Coli outbreaks we have to deal with here because the people running the state have no clue how to keep an ecosystem happy and healthy
