Love using Gulp Minnows! Got hooked on em last year and arguably the best minnow plastic out there. My best version of the gulp minnow is the Gulp Minnow SMELT. Caught many fish on them and many more to come! We from NC and tried Fort Loudon Dam last week. Killed some white bass and big Ole slabs. Gonna come back this up coming weekend on the warmer days and try and slay them. Tight lines Mr. Greene!

Thanks Richard! Your videos are the only fishing videos I watch on KZbin. Best ones hand down in my opinion. Thanks for kind of showing how you were jigging it dropping to the bottom then coming up a couple feet slowly raising tip up and down. I’ve never got a very good/confident feel for straight up and down vertical fishing. I love your videos but sometimes I wonder your techniques on how you are jigging your baits.

Hey Richard, cool channel you have. Very informative and fun to watch. There was a man named Ernie Lee that had an early morning show on a Tampa TV station. He also ended his show with," y'all get out and go fishing when you can cause it's good fer ya" I watched him every morning. So keep up the good work

I'm a big fan of Richard Gene, thoroughly enjoy all ,and I mean all, video's. It's like you take us with you in all of them.... So, I'm always fascinated by the precarious placement of your drinking cups/glasses... Its a smooth person in a boat who moves around a boat with ease the way Richard does... I would have knocked the drink over early in each video. Congratulations :)

Maybe this is a dumb question but imo would be an interesting video. Why use a right hand retrieve on a bait caster and a left on a spinning reel? I use right hand on both. I just cant get used to reeling with my left hand.

Richard I love your video's as they are always informative. Could you tell me how big these gulp minnows are? Also what pound test are you using in this video. And finally is it possible to land say a 5 or 6 pound fish on 4 pound test? Sorry for all the questions, thanks in advance for your answers.
@devincook27366 жыл бұрын
I landed a 15-20 pound carp without a net on 4 lb.. I wouldn't recommend it. The fish had zero fight left in it when I released it, even after reviving it for a while. Use a heavier line if possible so they have some energy left when you release them. If you're going to eat it, do whatever you want.
