Fishing with ultra light tackle is all about the drag system. Because of the light line, it’s a fine balance to have enough tension on the line to put pressure on the fish while allowing the fish to take the line on strong runs. I’ve caught up to 7 pound fish on 4 pound test. It’s fun. Lol.

I’ve been watching your micro fishing videos for about a year and enjoy fishing this way The only place I can find to order 1# test mono is through Maxim fishing lines any other suggestions? Also on your Cargill moment about soaking line to take out the memory for 1 week, do you leave it on the spool and just submerge the whole spool, or do you take it off the spool? I have started using spinning reels with larger spools and that seems to help with line tangle as well. Thanks again for your inspiring videos. I enjoy watching them. Scott
@RegularDudeFishing6 жыл бұрын
I will run it under the hot tap water for about 5 minutes or so, that usually helps with the line memory.
@scottwilson7076 жыл бұрын
That makes sense, the heat should take out some memory

I've seen Richard twice on Lake Guntersville (once on Wheeler Lake, I think - some distance away). Didn't bother him (people probably bug him all the time). Did wave at him once as I passed nearby in my jet black inflatable. One of these days, if he doesn't look too busy, I'm going to stop and say hello.

The BIG Bluegills and Shellcrackers have already spawned for this year... Now all you will catch is small ones... You are very lucky to fish with Richard... He's a Great Person and a Very Good Fisherman... You should have went Bass Fishing... It so easy to catch a 6 to 8 pounder some time a 10 pounder... It seems like every time I go I catch a 6 to 10 pounder... The place is just Full of Big Bass...

Tip your jig with a Berkley power wiggler, you will double your catch. They look like miniature sausage links in a pouch.
