Finally brought the GoPro, Lights Bridge was left when the lake was flooded in 1956. Starts at 85' and goes to 130' at the foundation.

Sometimes I wish the lake could be drained so we could see what the original valley looked like. Not too many pictures were taken/kept of that area before the building of the reservoir unfortunately. Crazy how there's entire bridges far underwater that once crossed the original river channels that went through the area. Not to mention buildings, racetracks, cars, and trees that were sunk that can still be seen.

Why it only a lake in Georgia. There are no gator, crocodile, python or shark like us in Florida

Cadilac Gaboy I drove past Savannah several time but I never did stop by to che k it out. By looking at the map that Savannah Rivers is a brackish water shark can survive Brackish water because here in Florida I saw a Shark all the time in our Indian River which is also a brackish water but I don’t know Python migrated all the to Savannah

Cadilac Gaboy I was there at Lake Lanier for the first time on June 22 when I was on a family vacation to Northern Georgia. We stop at the mini park next to Buford Dam for pic/lunch on the lakeshore. That lake look so beautiful and peaceful to me I kinda fall in love wanted to purchase a vacation around there but now that I know the history of that lake it kinda creepy. That lake was never meant for water activity and I’m sure the dead don’t want anybody to disturb their peace. I think if you don’t go swimming you be find. I didn’t get wet I never feel uneasy

In Lanier, the biggest risk is the boat getting run over and sunk by some weekend warrior boater. Way safer under water where the can’t getcha. 😉
@kyleaugustine68862 жыл бұрын
Quite the opposite actually. While not the most dangerous lake in the country Lanier in not a place the average weekend diver can go into. There old forests down there, buildings, anchor lines and all kinds of hazards. As you can see in the video there almost no visibility. There a few safe spots for diving but the rest of the lake.....

I don’t wanna creep anyone out but here’s my story at lake Lanier,so I was on vacation with my family and we lived in the cabins right near the lake. One night I started sleep walking but not really bc I could feel that I was walking,I literally opened the door to my cousins parents room and as soon as her mom said “hello?” I woke up kinda weird bc since then I’ve never sleep walked

Some people said that some of the houses are hunted, some of the boats "drives themselves", and some people gets pushed off the dock, grabbed, tripped, etc etc. And ancestors and spirits love it when visitors shows up. Ppl said that it felt like sb was watching you or just waiting for u to get in the water. (I have not been to that lake, and nor I will not go. I'm just saying what they people are saying or experiencin)

@coreytrevorscuba41333 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately not. You would need to be certified. Not sure where you are located but if you are in the North Georgia area I would be happy to get you in touch with someone who could get you certified. You could then rent gear.
