i was out today trying to cast net, all the bait schools were like 35-40 ft down. I have a 10 ft cast net. I was getting good throws but not pulling any fish up. Is that too deep? If not, what should I try to do next time? If so, where are some better shallower spots? I'm docked at Aqualand Marina, so any tips starting from there. Thanks so much, and nice fishing.. tight lines!!!

Flat Creek is always a reliable place to catch bait.Go all the way in the back where it goes off to the left.

It's legal to catch live bait with my casting net at lake Lanier ? I have never done it here.
