I caught the AA bug when I first began to enjoy the idea and activity of backpacking. I kept watching. Two years later, during this episode, I began to wonder why I am so emotionally invested in your program. I arrived at this conclusion: AA is a brilliant display of sincere, modern men being men. The good humored camaraderie, the love, the respect for nature and each other, the closeness. Those qualities are all but absent from pop-culture. But, here it is - of all places on KZbin. Don't take what you have here for granted; there is huge demographic and thirst for this genre, which may entirely belong to you. I say now's the time for a bigger push. Amazon/Netflix need to know your names.

Thank you so much for the kind words! We didn't even really know what we were going for exactly when we first started out, but we knew we wanted to present ourselves as genuinely as possible, and that we didn't want any fake drama or anything like that. Thanks again for the comment, and thank you for watching!

I whole heartedly concur. I do not binge on series or programs as the media culture begs this absence of truest anthropological wealth and humanistic wellness which is the reason why I seem to not be able to put this channel away. Bravo to you four for this quintessential offering of what wellness in self, inner serenity and an affinity with nature to which is we all are richer in sharing! Bliss T. lol i made my mom watch this video while we ate breakfast.. she says 1. youre all crazy. and 2. Robbie doesnt blink. like i said commenting and liking all the videos so they go onto other peoples pages. my comments: Another video well done. and i didnt fully realize that ALL the music was produced by you. I thought a few songs here and there. thats so amazing that you guys are like a one stop shop for video, editing, music, info...like a nerd swiss army knife. its amazing. and i made a list of all the LONG hikes starting from 10 years ago, to your new ones, and you can see how much growth and change is going on.

Just wanted to say hello, my name is Jim, I am 50 yrs old a Michigan resident and your Lake Superior video is what brought me to your channel. My wife and I van camp a lot mainly state forest campgrounds and do like to day hike but always return to the van to sleep ? Your videos are incredible great humor when it gets tough, love the information on identifying plants trees etc. I am taking my turn with Covid as I text and have been binge watching your videos for 4 days now lol. You know what this hasn’t been to bad 😂 keep up the good work guys !!!

You guys give me serious ramen cravings. Unfortunately instant noodles aren't nearly as satisfying at home as they are camping. I used to basically shut myself in during the winter. Then grumble about how long it took spring to arrive. But it's your videos like this one and the dolly sods winter that really encouraged me to just suck it up and get out there. (And it's always rewarding once you're there) So thank you guys. Really, I mean it. Thanks for not turning around once you saw the rain and snow. You all set a positive example for all your fans.

I'm impressed with how rad this hike is, even with a PNW perspective. Neat glacial terrain everywhere. The hills are moraines and the depressions are kettles. The mounds are kames.

Thomas why so serious? Awesome episode guys. I have to ask after seeing so many episodes more than once, I love that you guys share the food & talk about it but do you all get a full meal? You can't really be sharing a cup of noodles for 3 or 4 people right, I know you had 4 on this trip but I swear I've seen you guys eating off of one lonely cup-o-noodles? If you guys ever want to head out to Washington hit me up I live in an outdoor paradise with access to all kinds of trails. The Pacific North West trail goes through here & the cascades are about 15 minutes away, a hidden gem that rivals the best the USA has to offer. Also you guys gotta get a digital thermometer so we can get a better idea of how cold it is if you can.

You do know that you have ruined me from watching any other outdoor youtube videos right??? They all fail to captivate me much like your videos do. You all have a gift and I am glad you share it with us. You create a drive or stir a hunger up in people to get out into the outdoors (which I'm sure are your intentions) but aside from that, you make educate and entertain the viewer all while making us feel like we are a part of your close knit friendship.

You guys have pretty much created an entire genre of documentary, or at the very least, refined an already existing format well beyond what anyone else is doing right now and I can think of no other filmmakers, let alone KZbinrs, that do what you guys do and do so well. I would not be surprised if at some point in the future Adventure Archives becomes one of the channels that others are measured against, at least as far as production quality, audience accessibility, and efficient use of existing resources is concerned. Currently I have over 150 YT subscriptions and this channel is one of maybe only five or so that actually gives me a genuine feeling of happiness upon seeing a fresh upload... and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that.! Again, great work and I look forward to what AA have to offer in 2019. (Are any of you ever tempted to drop a handful of snow down someone's shirt? Dumb question, I know...) Edit: Twypos.

I can’t decide which I enjoy most-your beautiful nature shots, seeing what you’re seeing on your hikes, or your honest and open conversations with each other. Actually, it’s the combination of all three that make your videos so interesting and satisfying for me. Kudos to Robby for his comment on people trying to improve themselves at 1:02:45. So refreshing to hear such a sincere viewpoint in today’s snarky, cynical world.

You guys always have a way to make people absorb and feel what you’re feeling in the moment !!! your videos should be played in the waiting rooms of hospitals and Dr offices where people might be feeling anxious.... or better while your waiting in the lobby for traffic court lol Robby always adds the right amount of comedy and light hearted ness to the group. Andrew will learn you how to build a proper fire and what mushrooms NOT to smoke around said fire.... All of you guys are special...BUT, if I had to choose one of you to, say, hike the AT with or paddle across an ocean...Brian. Even when you can tell he's not orgasmic with joy or energy, he just takes it all in stride - while not broadcasting or taking it out on others - and keeps putting one foot in front of the other. So chill. Additionally, when he does speak, which isn't a great deal, he's pretty thoughtful, to the the point, and refreshingly honest/unguarded. I can imagine he's a great adventure companion, as all of you seem to be. Nice video.

Oh and throw in a few pair of cheap diy finger less gloves so you at least have one layer on your hands :) as the video continued I wanted to provide more tips. I lived in northern MN for most of my life and I've faced cold weather camping many times. Sleep with your gloves and most things that you don't want frozen, (under your pad works if its too packed inside your sleeping bag) at 32:54 this method would have offered some help.

Guys the visuals and soundtrack are outstanding. The location sound is just so clear. I loved the fact that you were celebrating New Years Eve and in a couple of hours I will be celebrating New Years Eve also but it will be Chinese New Years Eve. A brilliant start to 2019
