Lake Panasoffkee | TOP WATER Bass Fishing

Top water Bass fishing at Lake Panasoffkee in Central Florida. It was my first time fishing there, and it's an amazing lake. The weather wasn't ideal. The day started out super foggy and calm. Then, the sun came out and the wind never picked up. Big Fish Bob has been catching some giant Bass there on lipless crank baits and bladed jigs. So, I thought that's what we'd be doing. The weather conditions forced us to change it up, and we put together a pretty solid day. Topwater was the deal. Our top lures for the day were: Dual Pitch 94 from 13 Fishing, Spin Rocket from Berkley, Choppo from Berkley, and the Whopper Plopper from River 2 Sea.
Lake Panansoffkee is an awesome Big Bass fishery. It's shallow (average depth of 4'), spring fed, and filled with various submerged and emergent aquatic grasses. It's a very manageable lake at just under 5,000 acres.

Looks like I will be in Orlando in the first week of February. We need to schedule a half day. And get out again. February is a great time to be away from Michigan’s winter. I’ll be in touch. Looking forward to fishing with you again. It’s been a tough tournament year in Michigan with all the COVID crap. We can hit what ever water is producing in February.

I live in Ocala and I never think of Lake Pan, I always go to Harris. I think I’ve heard that it was dangerous to navigate, is that true, or did you come across anything like that? I might go this weekend.
