So glad you weren’t fishing bass on their nests. Thank you. Just so people understand what I mean.... It is a truly un-ethical and un-Sportsman-like to sight fish and catch bass while they are guarding their nests, and this is often what is happening at that time of year. REGARDLESS of whether it is within days or a week or 2 of when bass season opens. Bass will guard their nests with eggs and fry in the vicinity of their nests and will chase away predators, including lures, and baits. In the 5 minutes the bass are caught, fought and released a lot can happen. Gobies can completely strip the nest of all eggs and or young fry. John Whyte made an excellent video about this for those interested to see what can happen.

The parking fee is 10 doll/hour and $50 for oneday😎? Simcoe has become a private lake! Parking is free for local residents only.👎

Thanks for the info. Yeah we've been hearing the same reports for the launches along the west side and up to Orillia. Not sure about the rest of the lake but it doesn't look promising.
