Thanks for your reports, How I Simcoe. Short season, last trip out was Feb 25th. Made it out 3 times to simcoe and once to Lake Nipissing. Super short but still better than no ice fishing. 👍

Thank you for watching! Glad you made it out a few times, a lot of people didn't get the opportunity. Hopefully that means good numbers of fish left to spawn and grow!

Thanks for all your updates…. Managed to get out one last time yesterday…. Ice was pretty grey and getting soft up here…. Time to get the tarp off the boat cause she’s melting fast

Amazing, Sad I only got out 3 times on the ice this year but on the plus side, I've been fishing softwater for the past month.

Glad you got out, a lot of people didn't! On the plus side, not a lot of fish were harvested, let them grow!

Hello brother, do you think I can start kayak fishing next week? How is the shore on cooksbay marina?

Thanks brother 🙏

Hey! I haven't personally been anywhere on cooks bay, but it is still early to kayak in my opinion, even if there is open water. Shifting ice sheets can cover your access point and make it hard to get back, and small chunks can cause a lot of damage to your rig! It depends on your experience level and confidence, personally, I'd hang on just a little longer. Be safe out there!

Ice wall not so nice if you have a cottage on the north and west side of Georgina and it’s moving inland

I saw that, terrible. I hope there wasn't too much damage.
