Upright bass has nothing to do with it. As a child visiting the UK, Bridget had to suffice with a pencil, dental floss and an empty pork and beans tin to entertain a pub's patrons with a little diddy. We now know the song as "Roundabout".

What makes you think the international community is interested in GOOD musIc and actual talent? It's and image over substance market these days. There is a great documentary from about 15 or 18 years ago called "Before the Music Dies". I believe you can still find it on KZbin. It introduced me to Joe Bonamasa.

Ditto to all the pos comments about Lake Street Dive...but one observation I'd like to add is the fact that they capture their recording sessions live - which is better than any musicvideo ever made. It also gives a glimpse of the real talent and power of artists - these folks in particular. They are just so skilled and obviously gifted.
