So the singer caught my ear. The bassist is why I became obsessed. Can’t wait to share some of their more differently styled stuff. And yeah, they have a new album out. Thanks so much!!!💛💛💛 Forgot to add that they do a cover of “Rich Girl” that I so wanted to request but everyone knows that song and we have so many artists and songs to explore as it is. Bridget is a monster on bass. I'm kinda nervous to hear their new material without Mike Olsen. I first learned of them via the HBO broadcast of "Another Day, Another Time: Celebrating the Music of 'Inside Llewyn Davis'" (2013 Coen Bros Film )

I absolutely love Lake Street Dive. They met up here in Boston when they were attending The New England Conservatory of Music (there's a cool video of them performing I Want You Back on a street corner in Boston). Everyone in the band is super talented and I love that their instrumentation is not standard pop/rock (with the upright bass and trumpet on some songs). Also, their songwriting is very sophisticated, varied and interesting...things that are not common with current pop music.

They have lived in Brooklyn for 10+ years. I used to see them in the East village for $10 almost every week. From Boston Conservatory. All jazz oriented. Band has changed over the last 2 years/albums. Well worth exploring.

Heard this for the first time a couple of weeks ago. At first I wasn't moved, then a few seconds later I thought, "wow she's got a cool voice." Reminds me of Carol King, but this singer has more range. Nice job Amber!

I'm glad you finally heard them, I believe they all met in Boston at the Music Conservatory. They used to open for one of my favorite artists who never made it big unfortunately. But the lead singer Rachel Price started in gospel singing and then moved to jazz
