Great video Chuck as always. I’m going to try that new lure. It’s down to weeks and I will be down in Florida permanently. Trust me the vanilla works. Thanks for the shout out. Mike

Good video as always Chuck. I like the looks of that new lure, as I tend to try almost anything new in topwater.

I’ll be at Disney World with my family the last week of January. I’m wanting to go fishing while I’m in Florida. I hope you have an opening that week!

Vanilla extract works great for spring bull gnats here in SW Mississippi plus smelling like a cookie ain't bad either. A wildlife biologist friend of mine swears by lemon juice diluted with water for mosquitoes.

Chuck I hope the Vanilla extract works for you. I tried it and I think it drew more knats. If you were close by I'd give you the rest of the bottle.

Chuck late January, what is your go to baitnin Florida?
@ChuckPippinBassFishing5 жыл бұрын
smalguter it depends on the weather conditions, but a lipless crank bait is always a good choice. For bigger fish, a chatterbait or spinnerbait.

Thanks for the fishing fix, Chuck! How did the memorial tournament on Lake Wilson go?
@ChuckPippinBassFishing5 жыл бұрын
It was on the Harris Chain. I ended up not being able to fish it. They had to reschedule it because of bad weather, and I was booked for a guide trip that day.
@Reefsymmetry5 жыл бұрын
What day did they reschedule it to? I wanted to fish it but my boat was in the shop that Saturday, and I had only found out about it a week ahead of time.

Chuck, Your vids are incredible! I like how you specialize your content to reflect local conditions and species. Too many pros like to over-generalize and give broad-spectrum advice (fish worms slow in the summer, cold fronts turn off the fish, etc.). I have a question and a suggestion for a "future content" video. Question: Regarding soft plastics, I see that a lot of local sporting goods stores stock TONS of Senkos. Have you had any luck fishing those in area lakes and if so, how do you usually fish them and what colors would you recommend? Suggestion: I'm sure I'm not the first one to suggest this, but have you given any thought to doing a crappie fishing video? Perhaps on the St. John's river? Thank you for all your great content and keep the vids coming! Tight lines and solid hooksets!

How does the motor boat sound?

Louder than a speed worm, but no where near as loud as a buzz bait would be.

That’s a difficult question to answer. I’m not on them very well right now, as you can tell from the video. The fish seem to be on the move and I’m still looking for them. Lol.

Chuck Pippin results where disappointing. It was super cold and we had a bad day, our trolling motor broke so we couldn’t go shallow so we had a super hard time catching them. Overall our performance was about a 2/10 but our motivation was a 10/10 we just kept going 😂

Idk man. I feel like Ppl say that you can't catch topwater in the high sun with still water but i sincerely catch more topwater bass in high sun and barely any wind than I do at sundown or any other time of day. I'm just saying this guy is here saying its the wrong conditions for topwater as they're biting. Can I ask.. are younjust repeating what you heard every other angler say because they heard someone else.say it? Because my experience AND your video footage shows that what you're saying is not correct. I also have tons of footage that you guides can analyze to convince you that bass bite topwater in the sun.
