Hi. Thanks for the video, its been most helpful. However i find difficulties through the "Validate Path" since i can't get it. I have a Windows 10 PC, and i got the latest firmware update for my Lexmark X466de printer. My printer has network connection since I can print through network. I am stuck please help

For Lexmark x656 equipment I would like to be able to receive the application for ID-COPY, which is installed on the equipment and is for copying identity documents. This is free and not currently downloadable from the Lexmark site and I am not a service partner. I have over 40 used equipments installed and I cannot get the application from a Lexmark dealer.

bodenkind there is an option network to scan Click it Then fill the gaps as shown on the vid and Put the document Go to shortcuts and click on the name

I got a X646e, firmware does not have the Validation Path. Im unable to connect printer to the shared folder, I tried with hostname and IP adsress, but still dont work. It says cannot reach the destiny. I format my PC from Win7(In which it was working) and now that Im in Win10, simply cant connect. Also trying turning off windows defender and firewall, any ideas?

Luis Alvarez call Lexmark if you haven't already. They have a firmware they can give you for your older model that will work for windows 10.

For anyone whom "validate path" button doesn't work, first try upgrading your printer firmware. Then try creating a local user (for example, username scan and password scan) and give it administrative rights), also try enablig SMBv1 from control panel. If that still doesn't solve the problem, try replacing the path name with your IP adress (you can get your IP address from command prompt) for example if the folder path is "\\MY-PC\Scans" replace "MY-PC" with your ip address, it'll look something like this "\\192.168.0.3\Scans". That should solve the problem.

This is probably most people's issue. Press Windows and R key together on your Keyboard. Type appwiz.cpl and hit enter. Click on 'Turn Windows Features On or Off' (upper left side of pane). Please scroll down and under SMB 1.0 CIFS File Sharing Support, check the boxes next to SMB 1.0/CIFS Client and SMB 1.0/ CIFS Server. If the boxes are already ticked, please uncheck the box and check it again

For me, its only working if I enter PC IP adress like \\192.168.27.178\scan. If i enter \\pcname\scan, the scan does not work. Can some one help me?
