The biggest problem I see with this offence is the fact that they will get very few offensive rebounds. Though many 3 point attempts rebound long, many of the lakers run the other way when shots are released, instead of reading the bounce of the rim.
@mattroom
@mattroom 5 жыл бұрын
You give up offensive rebounds for better transition defense, and transition D has been shown to be very important, more than offensive rebounds, unless you have a great offensive rebounder who moves that math in your favor, especially in certain matchups like the Cavs vs GSW in the Cavs prime.

Ty Lue is the perfect coach for this team. He has proven championship success with Lebron, is able to stand up to Lebron and demand respect from players, and he brings great ATOs and spacing. I would take Lue over Monty Williams who was worse as a HC in NOP than Lue

Whoever the new coach is, the absolute only thing that will make them successful is if they allow Lonzo to run the offense and not LeBron. Lonzo needs heavy minutes and must be the primary ball handler when he's on the floor. He must not be forced to play 2 guard. You let Lonzo run your offense, he will do it well and he will get everyone else easy shots. It's that simple. If they restrict Lonzos minutes and take the ball away from him like luke did then the offense stagnates.

I am a LeBron fan (have to be honest) and have watched just about every game he has coached outside of this season and let me tell you...he is horrible. One of the worst defensive coaches and the offense was basicly get a mismatch for bron/kyrie and then let them ISO/kickout for 3. Anything but him really. Yeah his offense ratings look great but it is basicly off the pure talent of Bron and Kyrie and the fact that cavs always had great shooters (which lakers dont have). He is not able to make any in game adjustments and lets not forget that while he did get a ring, coach Blatt got that same team to 6 games against same warriors a year before but without Love and Kyrie there and was fired. Plus the best offesnive rating cavs had was in the same season that he took over from blatt (still running his offense). I am really not looking forward to this becoming a reality but to be honest unfortunatly I am not too optimistic with how Jeanie has been running the lakers overall.

Exactly that's why I say its obvious lebron wants to get rid of white coaches just to bring in any black coach even if they could win the worst coach of the year award doesn't matter still better than playing for a white coach.. To lebron
@Rich_iam

@@erawwwww What are you talking about? I don't think that has anything to do with it. Lebron is just uncoachable. He wants to be all powerful. You do realize he had a black coach in Cleveland, twice, and ran both of them out of the building.

This type of offense doesn't fit the team that well unless they make some major changes this offseason to the roster but I don't expect that to happen especially since Rob Pelinka is in charge now and most agents/GM's don't like him from what I have read.
@desean3402
@desean3402 5 жыл бұрын
We don’t have the shooters currently for this. His offense isn’t that different than what the Bucks run. None of it is complex but you have to have the personnel for it. Barely saw the middle of the video and he mentioned Bucks. Good job lol. Lakers have to completely change the roster for any of this to work. Kuzma isn’t a deep threat, Ingram isn’t. Zo damn sure isn’t, and we don’t have a stretch 5.

I think they are going to hire Lue and they will probably trade the young guys for old farts like J.r and korver and in a few years when James retires or leaves, Lakers are going to end up like the Cavs in the lottery for another 5- 10 years, you'll think the pelicans are stupid enough to send AD to LA for busts like Lonzo and B.I hell nooo.... the NBA is not like before when Lakers could just buy all the best players all the teams have money now and they have to spend it, this days is about drafting well and developing players
