If it were about the money you would've heard Dan Hurley wanted more and made a counteroffer that the Lakers rejected. That wasn't the case. He was negotiating against himself so that never made sense. It wasn't about the money, Woj said as much. Most people didn't even know Hurley until he was attached to the Lakers, and it dominated the sports headlines. During the finals! He's never had this much attention in his life. The Lakers should draft Edey if he is available at 17th. That kid can play. And he is the best player available at that pick. Suprisingly based on draft combine, he is more agile than Holmes, Clingan, Sarr and Missi. I think DFS is not worth a 1st anymore. I think 2 2nds is fair. That guy cant shoot, but he is great defender. And the Lakers already have similar player in Vando.

Out of all the guys mentioned, I like Tristan DaSilva the most, but I feel he might be another Rui. Not really a 3 athletically, and a 4 that doesn’t rebound well. I’m not a fan of drafting an unathletic big who can’t really shoot well or defend the rim or out on the perimeter effectively. They will get picked apart in the playoffs, and you won’t be able to play them alongside AD and Bron. Yves Missi is the most athletic guy on that list, but he has no outside shot. In my opinion, as an athletic coach, I think Zach Edey is too heavy. I would want him to get his weight down from 290 to at least 270 before stepping onto an NBA court. Although he will be playing fewer minutes in the NBA, he will be playing more often. I don’t see his legs lasting long. How many big men have we seen have to miss their first season due to a stress fractures or leg injuries? Curious to see what route the lakers take if they do decide to keep the 17th pick.

I'm not a fan of DFS . He hasn't been that good of a shooter most of his career and is nowhere near what he was 3-4 years ago on the defensive end.
