Trevor Lane tried settling the 🐐 debate with what he thought was a clever Truth which was to say THEY PLAY DIFFERENT POSITIONS. Seems simple enough answer to end.the debate BUT Hes Wrong because Jordan did play the Point as Lebron does and his Stats were off the chart in 89 example Jordan flourished in his new role as the Bulls' starting point guard. He had 15 assists in his first game and led the Bulls to a 105-88 home win. Two days later, he had 21 points, 14 rebounds, and 14 assists in just 30 minutes in a 122-90 home win against the Pacers, etc Simply Put Jordan was WAYYYY BETTER AT THE POINT THEN LEBRON EVER WAS AT HIS START DOING TO. Jordan is the 🐐even if he didn't make a Career of playing the Point. Imagine if MJ played the Point in this Olympics ? His Bag of Tricks would be VASTLY GREATER THEN LEBRONS BULL CHARGE TO THE BASKET IN LIMITED OPPORTUNIST MOMENTS OF WEAKNESS ON THE D. IF YOU AINT SAYING MJ IS THE GOAT IS BECAUSE YOU DONT KNOW WHO JORDAN IS AND.WHAT HE ACCOMPLISHED

My 2025 lakers hot take: BOOK IT. Starters: Dlo/Vando*/lebron/C.wood*/AD Reason: Jj redick motion offense unlocks the lakers. 1. Dlo will make the allstar team this yr because lakers will be top 2 team out west. JJ could run dlo thru off ball screens like steph, kyle korver, jj reddick used to do. Go look at jj reddick duke or sixers highlights. Jj reddick has been doing steph currys impressions since college by runnjng thru screens and forcing defenders to trap him on the 3pt line allowing the rest of the lakers to play 4 on 3 on offense. Lebron just played w steph in the olympics, i think he will love playing w dlo in this offense. 2. C.wood in jj offense will be setting offball picks no different than Drummond does for steph or klay. This allows cwood to receive the ball from dlo and go 4 on 3. He can pick and pop, or drive to the hoop where hes an underrated passer. Hes a bonifide bucket. Mind you c.wood could score it, or find a streakjng lebron or lob it to AD. On defense. C.wood is a better shotblocker, scorer, rebounder than Bam Adebayo. Same height as Bam. We all saw how well AD and Bam played together. Our defesnw and rebounding will be top 5. Both bigs are capable of guarding the perimeter. One big gets the rebound and the other streaks down the floor for an easy cherry picking lob. This is assuming C.wood jumpshot goes back to his career numbers. Dlo (ar, knect) double drag split screens will be the highlight of our offense. 3. The purpose of Vando in the starting lineup, is a duh. With all that length in the front court, he takes the responsibility of guarding the best perimeter player on the other team. Vando needs the shot creation from dlo, lebron, AD and C.wood by olaying between space, getting offensive rebounds and playing the dunker spots etc.
@natetewkesbury2 ай бұрын
*You know, I don't hate this. Except C.Wood has never been known or called a better defender than anyone. Wood can block shots but that's about it. That starting 5 you list has 2 below average defenders in DLo and Wood, plus LeBron is a opportunistic defenseman who picks his spots. That's a lot of pressure on AD and Vando. Also we both know that Vando only plays 20-22 mins a game. Vando can still come off the bench and play those 22mins vs the opposing teams best player. Can still guard Curry, Murray, Ant, Shia, Booker, etc etc playing 20 to 24 mins a game. So in theory I would say that Max Christie is prolly a better fit in the starting 5, over Vando* *But as far as Wood being the 5 in the starting lineup, I like this move b/c it puts AD at the 4 where he wants to be and AD can still do AD stuff on both sides. Plus Wood playing 25 to 28 mins is gonna unlock the Offense in Woods game. Playing the Stretch 5 with AD & LeBron and Wood could prolly avg 14 to 16 Ppg*
@quentinseicappie12462 ай бұрын
@natetewkesbury our best lineups last 2 seasons has always had 2 or more below avg players as starters. Dlo AR15, rui. It has lacked rebounding and shot blocking outside of AD. Max in my opinion hasn't done anything in his young career to warrant starter minutes. He's had one good summer league and a few regular season moments, but that's it. Vando is a better defender than max. Max off the bench will be going against 2nd tier guys and i think thats his comfort at this point in his yiung career. All the lineups that paired vando w dlo and ar15 were better defensively. I think ar and Knect should run the offense off the bench along w max. Bench : Ar/knect/max/rui/hayes or kylor kelly That AD WooD Lebron lineups has outscored opponents by +23. That lineup is longer, shot deflections, rebounding and I think guys will struggle shooting over outstretched arms.
@natetewkesbury2 ай бұрын
@@quentinseicappie1246 *Again I like your Starting-5. As far as Max goes being in the starting lineup, it seems he has taken massive steps. Definitely should of got more burn last year but Ham was a idiot. I was rooting for Cam Reddish to step up and was not sold on Max at all but the kid showed me a ton. The length is a problem for Guards & Wings. Max even defends the Post decently. You have to admit that Max has a pretty pretty shot. Pure. Coach Reddick is gonna be telling Max to chuck it and his 3Pt shot is a threat. Also like the versatility on the Offensive side he provides. There is some projection with Max yes, but the word is he has taken another step and we both know last year he should of been playing more mins* *And what about Gabe Vincent ? The $13mill is not in your lineup ?? The injury was huge imo but we saw in the Playoffs, the best "on-ball defender" the Lakers had. He played damn good defense. Counting on the "Miami Gabe" to be in LA for this season and that warrants 20+ mins a game* *Truth is there is gonna be some mixing and matching the first month I expect. Not sure what JJ Reddick does but I also expect some "Moves" to be made. Maybe it's for Valuncious in Washington, Poetl in Toronto, or Carter Jr in Orlando. A sleeper player I'm watching is the Charlotte Big, Nick Richards and Blazers Robert Williams. But I prefer they make a Trade with Utah for say, the C Walker Kessler, & G Sexton for say DLo, Reddish, Jalen Hood, Jaxon Hayes, and a pick. Something like that. I am as big a fan as DLo as anybody but I rather keep Reaves and DLo has disappeared in the Playoffs. Like to keep Rui too but maybe he is a part of a Trade as well. The Lakers need to make a move to maximize the LeBron & AD 2024/25 season. The correct move can win the West. Not sold that the current team can win the West but I'm not 100% against it either*
