A couple bad calls can change the momentum... LBJ got mauled several times with no call, AD called for tik tak calls that put him to the side line that dont get called in playoffs... Those things KILL momentum and how they lost a 20 point lead.
@StCropper
@StCropper 11 күн бұрын
@@ManagerMatt1 Bad calls can change momentum but those calls have nothing with the fact that Lakers blew that 20 point lead. Then a 15 & 10 point lead. Just because you lost, embarrassingly, doesn't mean look around and find anything to blame. There's an old saying "When you point one finger there's three pointing at you".

The game has changed, nba players are more offensively skill in this era than the 80s and 90s, Lebron is 39, match ups and coaching matters. I’m a big Lebron fan and I’m here to give excuses. But Jordan and Bron both played in different eras with different advantages of skills vs physical athleticism. Jordan’s impact as a scorer and intangibles are something most if not all people and nba players idolize but Bron’s dedication and adaptation for the game at this stage of his career is something I'll appreciate, especially how drastically the game has changed today.

Rob Parker who has Nuggets winning the series and winning it all is giving Game 3 to the Lakers to win. I believe that might happen too. I believe Lakers win Game 3 and it won’t surprise me if it’s a blowout. But then Game 4 is close and Denver wins that. Denver can pick and choose which one to win. Denver is worse on the road compared to last year but Lakers haven’t been all that great at home this season either. If Denver loses Game 3, they’ll save all their energy for Game 4. If they win Game 3, they can afford to lose Game 4. Then again, I felt the same way last year thinking they were going to lose at least one in LA but they didn’t. 🧹They seem to absolutely love beating the Lakers like my Clippers did for over a decade. Michael Malone inspires his team to hate them and not fear them. If Lakers gets swept, that would be the 4th time in LeBron’s career. Getting swept will match how many rings he’s won. I wouldn’t hold it against him in 2007 and 2018. He was completely overmatched. But I don’t necessarily think he’s overmatched here playing next to AD while Jokic looks like a plumber and was second to last picked by LeBron in the 2023 ASG. Lakers: 3 all-stars Nuggets: 1 all-star Lakers: 2 top 10 players Nuggets: 1 top 10 player It would be like the 1994 Rockets beating the 1993 Bulls. Hakeem beating Jordan and Pippen. Denver is not some superteam stacked with all-stars. What’s LeBron’s next excuse after they lose to Denver? Not enough help? Or maybe because Nikola Plumber is really good at playing basketball? Denver plays like a real team. That’s 1-5. Not a 3-man crew. When LeBron was out, Lakers actually played better without him. Reaves and Rui were getting enough touches that they can sustain a hot hand. But LeBron is very ball-dominant who will deflate his teammates stats. So when it’s Austin or Rui’s time to shoot, they’re cold because they never got enough touches. That’s always been LeBron’s weakness. His teams struggles against teams like the Spurs, Warriors, and Nuggets as Broussard said who knew how to utilize all 5 players on the floor while all of LeBron’s teams was mostly watching LeBron dribble the ball for 20 seconds and everyone is standing around and watching. LeBron has never had a team where everyone on the floor is getting a share. Where it’s equal opportunity. His personal stats suffocates his teammates. It usually ends up being hero ball which won’t work against a team like Denver that swings the ball from side to side. No egos with them. LeBron has an ego where he wants to win, still get his stats, and receive all the credit because he wants to be the GOAT which he obviously is not and never will be…

No, Denver is great for the league. Most of the fans have Lakers fatigue and want something new. Denver plays great team ball, and our players (especially Nikola Jokic) are very unselfish. He will play his whole career here, and won’t bounce around trying to build a “superteam”. The ratings were down a little bit from 2022, but were still above 2021, and WAY above the Lakers/Heat Finals in 2020. There’s still room for you on our bandwagon if you hurry! Go Nuggets!🎉

Jokic is not an all time great. He just proves that it's a big man's game, so with just a bit of smarts and fundamentals, a 7 footer can go far. What would Jokic be at 6'5 with his skill set and athleticism? Yes he is a dominant big guy, but because big guys are not developed these days to play on the inside, and the entire game is about 3-point shot, spacing and perimeter. Jocik would be good in any era, but not as good if he had real big men to deal with. Look what an old Dwight Howard did to shut down Jocik at key points in the bubble (Don't give me Jocik series stats, look at the key plays where Howard shut him down). What would Jocik do against prime Howard?
