Rui more available and he has been big in the playoffs, but his defense isn't that great. And Rui is better slotted at the 4 as he mentioned, in which LeBron plays. It's funny we talk so much about position less basketball yet there are certain guys better slotted at certain positions. Vando provides a need at defense and if healthy, would be apart of a nightmare defensive lineup with at the very least 3 people who can put the ball in the hole. I like Rui a lot, but I understand why he may have to be traded. Plus with Wood coming back, Wood provides that backup forward we need if he can show any resemblance of his old self

Vando obviously, more athletic, better defender, more energy and hustle. We were literally first in defense post deadline the season we acquired him. I remember a game where he locked down Luka and lead a huge comeback.

Agreed have to pick Vando.hes a legit lockdown defender 1-4. Even a decent rim protector when needed. So you can play him anywhere between 2-5. There isn't another guy making less than 25M per year that you can say that about in the NBA .

We do but Rui is not the answer. He is to inconsistent. Imagine a game on the line the other team has the ball and we can defend with AD, Finney-Smith, Vando, Cam, and Max. That would be one of the greatest defensive lineups ever. However I do agree we need more scoring.

If the answer is more important than easily and I would still trade him but if I had to keep him over Rui not the end of the world because we have DFS, Christie, and Reddish plus I like wood as Rui replace for him to be our back up PF for Bron once he returns so bye Rui and I can wait on vando a little longer.

Too bad Vando has no stock. If Lakers can somehow package him in a trade before the deadline would be good. Come playoff time when the game slow down and is not longer checker but chess, Vando can't be played. It becomes 4v5 on offence thus making it harder for others to score. DFS needs to start and Rui off the bench. Keep Rui, Milton, Knecht and try to use Gabe, Vando, everyone else who just warming the bench and picks for a center/pg who is servicable come playoffs.

We’re not even using the Rui the right way. The new offense is opposite of his skill set. After LJ and Ad Rui is my favorite but he’s just like Dlo a redundant player getting a nice chunky of salary
