Well Nick you were 100% wrong about game 1. No punch in the mouth, no reality check for Denver. 66 points from Davis and James and they still lost. Stats were nearly identical except for rebounds. I'm reading your excuses now and how suddenly the Lakers have to feel good about game 2 because they "figured out" the Nuggets in the 2nd half. Right, because the entire basketball world knows that adjustments can only be made by LA and Denver could not possibly figure out what they did wrong in the 2nd half.

Nick Wrong coming in clutch being 0-1 in the Nuggets and Lakers series so far. The Nuggets won and Jokic dominated with 34 points, 21 rebounds, and 14 assists to go with 2 blocks. The Lakers "real defense" that the Nuggets would need time to adjust to gave up 37, 35, and 34 in the first 3 quarters. Nick couldn't have been more wrong. I guess Nick needs to be more humble haha.

Denver doesn't have to worry about LeBron's old legs, and AD is too inconsistent to be a major concern. The Lakers will have to worry about who is going to match up against Jokic and Murray, not to mention the size of Denver's front court with Porter Jr and Gordon will be a problem for LA. That size advantage they had against GS will not be there against Denver.

The lakers should force the nuggets to come up with a game plan that plays Vanderbilt off of the court. Having Jokic sag off of Vanderbilt isn’t enough to play him off the court. This series should also be about the Laker guards + Lebron “match hunting” Murray, Jokic and MPJ.

An effective tactical strategy for the Lakers is to disrupt Jokic rhythm. Once they succeed in disrupting his rhythm the rest of his team mates doesn’t have the strength to fill in the gap.

It will come down to the role players for the Nuggets. What will Gordon, Porter Jr, Brown, KCP, etc... do? I believe Jokic/Murray and Lebron/AD will be a wash so the role players is key

Playoff Murray is something ppl aren’t talking about enough as he goes from solid 17 ppg in regular season career vs elite 25 ppg in Playoffs (44 games so not small sample size). 25 6 5 1 spg 47/41/90.4 splits > Steph Curry Klay Reggie Miller & Ray Allen in playoffs for comparisons sake splits wise. In 2020 WCF vs Lakers Murray averaged essentially those stats vs Lakers only more apg, 52 FG% and lower 3P% and that was with better guard defenders of Caruso KCP Rondo Add that to Joker’s insane Playoffs career averages (59 games) 27 12 6 2 stocks 53/41/83 That’s about ILLmatic of a combo ever along with 2001/02 Lakers Shaq Kobe, 91-93 MJ Pippen, 17/18 KD Curry, 2020 LeBron AD (granted defensively they’re much worse but offensively that’s a lethal combo). I also am worried (as LeBron fan of 23 years) that LeBron’s foot not allowing him to have as much lift/burst consistently (compared to late December to late February pre “I heard it pop” foot injury when LeBron was 32, 9, 8 on good efficiency with great athleticism still) as well as just year 20, 66K mins (about to Kareem for most ever including playoffs and Kareem averaged 11 & 4 year 20. None of the other 10 players EVER to make year 20 even made playoffs) running out of Gas. He was great Game 6 but that was banging Vs a rib cartilage injury smaller weight wise Wiggins compared too 6’8” 235 to 240 Aaron Gordon. Also saw Aaron Gordon last decade holds LeBron to lowest eFG% in on ball 1-1 (Second spectrum). He’s 27 in year 10 with 18,000 total mins vs LeBron 38 year 20 with 66,000 mins. I personally would start Rui as I think Lakers need him to avg 12-15 ppg and they’ll need to win some games 123-117 even though they have great defense. Plus just his size. Vando can make an argument to start also to guard Murray too as Murray would cook D-Lo. This easily could come down to who outplays who between D-Lo AR Rui Lonnie Schroder vs Gordon MPjr KCP Brown Braun Also AD vs Joker foul trouble. PS Denver this year in their altitude are among the greatest home records ever 36-4 when Jokic plays! I was wrong last series vs Warriors (As great as lakers played OBJECTIVELY Klay/Wiggins/Steph also missed many 3s they can make also and it’s a make miss league) so I hope I’m wrong again and my Warriors/Nuggets in 7 pick turns into Lakers in 6 win! PS it’s great Jokic is showing again why Nick’s take on him are so clownish as he’s one of the illest bigs ever and was before this playoffs too! Walton great passer but Jokic is clearly >! For him to say Joker is #2 passer behind Walton yet another horrid Joker take.

I can tell Nick doesn't play much basketball. If AD loses position on Jokic, no way he's going to be able to block Jokic's shots. Jokic's footwork would have AD way off balance to be a factor. If AD was significantly taller, maybe, but they're pretty much the same height. The more physical and more mobile Jaren Jackson Jr wasn't able to do that; I doubt AD will.

Nuggets were rested. Nuggets were undefeated at home. Altitude. Two old guys on the Lakers fatigued. And Nick took the Lakers? Hamm took AD off Jokic permanently after 15 minutes. Nick is a very good analyst UNLESS Denver is involved. His Denver hatred clouds his vision.

Simply put, defense travels very well. Defense is known for winning championships. It's A.D vs Joker. It's Lakers defense vs Mile high altitude. Will, Murray, Porter jr, and Gordon show up? Will, KCP, be a factor? I don't know either, but that mystery will be solved tonight in the Rocky mountains where the best of the west put each other to the test. That's what I call a, ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH.
