We are not limited on assets. We have the assets needed to get the parts we need. Jeanie and Rob don’t care about winning the way the Franchise is use to winning. They are ok being middle of the pact racking in the dollars. This is not the same Lakers anymore. It’s not Championship or bust. Oh and we have the worst, if not top 3 worst, GM in all of the NBA. Lavine should already be on this team…. But he will go to Denver.

Brogdon, Kuz, Valaciunas looks like the most likely trade. I think Lavine and Torrey Craig looks in play too. Outside of that seems like a pipe dream...Just got a report about Dwight Howard possibly joining the Lakers. Remember Jeannie Bus did an interview with the Lakers despite all the controversy and so I like that...Lavine and Torrey Craig would be great additions as they can both shoot and if Lebron takes left we can sign who need to sign and really make strong push either this year or next year.

The prob w Laker trades is most will take a 3rd team, and those take time. We have to give out more sal than we take back, and most teams don’t have the extra roster spots to absorb multiple players for 1 (Lavine).

In the case of Lavine, it would likely be 3 for 2 with Torrey Craig added. It would mean a third team or the Bulls would simply have to cut one player. THT is on a non guaranteed contract for couple more weeks. So they could in fact cut him and not even lose that money. It’s not even close to as difficult as analysts make it seem or sound. That said, Cam Johnson, other players make a lot of sense as well. Lakers just have to figure out what they are willing to do, what picks, players they can part with. If the lakers did want Lavine, however, the deal would be done pretty easily.

The problem is Brogdon, Kuz, Jonas… none of these players are defensive players. Kuz is better than Rui, but not a defensive player. Brogdon is a better two way option than AR or Dlo but he is not a lockdown type of defender either. Jonas and defense should really never be uttered in the same sentence. He’s an offensive, physical big that got played off the floor by us because he was exposed on Defense. And the Pelicans decided not to resign him because of his flaws on defense. Maybe there are no perfect trades, but if you want Defense, stay away from Washington ( though I do like Brogdon potentially)

Don’t drink the koolaid. Washington being easier, cheaper, does not make it the only realistic or available trade. They can get Brogdon and Jonas without paying too much and likely Kuzma as well if they wait it out longer. Brogdon minus the injuries and contract does fit, the other two fill a need but don’t actually fit. Kuzma fit more than Rui is debatable and does not mean that Kuz actually fits, just fits better. Jonas being better than your current backups does not mean he will have any real value in the playoffs or that you will actually play him over Hayes or Wood given they both offer things Jonas does not like mobility and athleticism.
