@@wills.9422 Agree to disagree about the D. I think there will be some adjustment but it ain't that deep if your coming from TN and who TN is defensively. They are 80% D at TN and DK was the offense, so he really wasn't used typically how TN utilizes their offensive guys. So, his D is a little deceptive, his stats. Promise you if they have few issues or worries about his D, we should trust that. Plus all those teams ahead of LA in the picks were terrible teams, let's face it, and they know one offensive elite 23 year old wasn't going to be the bump that made them even average this season, coming from being terrible. So it makes sense why they passed on him for future hopefuls whom aren't at DK's level now. I might have done the same thing if I were them.

Knecht is a volume-shooter with a monstrous 32.8% usage rate (for context, Luka led league with 35.6%), so if you look purely at his PRA stats...you know why he had big numbers. As an example, he had 37 points on whopping 31 shot attempts in loss vs Purdue. Of course, a player has to be skilled enough to demand such usage but he's not going to have that usage in NBA.

you have to improve: training camp,summer league and that whole nba miasma and lakers should get him inn. he is at that age. you have to use them. just do not just sit on the bench. @@king_has_no_clothskul8635 One thing we Vol fans learned about DK was he's addicted to improving and lives in the gym. This is why he's risen so fast. He knew he was good offensively and improving but came to TN to be coached by the best on defense under Barnes. It's very very exhausting to play the level of defense Barnes expects and be offensively at the level of DK. Few human beings can do that and certainly, none comes to mind that have come through TN and do that. Usually, the best ones were merely good offensively, not a DK's level but slightly better defensively than DK. Imo, they intend to have him out there asap.

@@gwhite7136 we do not know. he may be used as a trade chip to get murray or grant. grant is the perfect fit for lakers. so they got some resources to bid for young,grant,murray,mitchell who else? and some big. denver has lakers number and you have to do something about it. last year they smoked okc and if they had fit roster they could have challenged denver like that in-tourney tournament. these folks have to play fit. that is one problem with new guys who are not used to lot of movement and that physical grind. they need a fit n ready to go roster this season.
@gwhite71365 ай бұрын
@@king_has_no_clothskul8635 Grant would be owned by DK. On Rocky Top we got a first hand clear difference in Grant and DK. Grant would drive and make less at the rim to get to the line where he would be money on the free throws. DK his game, he'd drive and score time and again, and was the outside shooter Grant wasn't. Plus, DK will out jump Grant vertically. Lakers have been missing that outside shooting threat that is money. I think they have that in DK now. Plus, he's not a guy you can win 1-1 against with any consistency guarding his shooting. DK is about as fit as you can get when it comes to endurance. He's the only player to score that much, while playing that hard defensively. At TN, it's the hardest most physical defensive team and coach you'll see in D 1. I'm shocked DK's scored so much while living up to Barns's defensive expectations. It's brutal. If you think DK isn't fit enough to be ready this season you just haven't been paying attention to him and his athleticism. Dude would play for nearly every minute of his games last season. I think you will be very surprised on hit fitness level. Guy also lives in the gym, and no one over 25 is going to exhaust him. I'd take DK over Grant any day.
