You guys made a great point when you said “If you think that there’s a 10% chance that Lebron could leave in free agency, spending the 55th pick to take that 10% to 0 is a REALLY good use of the pick.” That was a perfect way to sum up why choosing Bronny was the right move.

Thanks! That they can do that while getting a developmental player who could have some utility if things break right is great. In a vacuum, I'd prefer a frontcourt project over a backcourt one, but by the time either would be ready to play, needs could change. BK

Lifetime Vol fan. Guys, Ric is very keen on this Vols BB team. Ric and the other Locked on guy Ryan Shumbert are always on point. Ric explained this kid to a T...He knows what he is talking about. Yeah on ball defense needs work, but his Def IQ is there. DK is probably the most savy scorer I have seen being a Vol Fan and I'm 46. Younger fans might not know, but he has that Allen Houston type game but has that new Tyler Hero game as well. You guys got a 💎 regardless of who you comp him to.

Lets wait until Summer League to form concrete opinions about Bronny, remember the reports he was awesome at the combine. I myself having gone through long COVID that destroyed my heart, and teaching martial arts, can tell you it takes about 18-20 months until you can fully ramp back up your training and start really pushing yourself like before the heart injury. The fact he even came back as soon as he did to USC was a huge shock to me, and a testament to his will, daily dedication to health routines, and access to elite care. I truly believe theres a 50-50 shot that his potential has barely even begun to be scratched yet, and he's got a great set up to succeed going forward with this franchise and his father unified behind his success.

As for Dalton, I'm cautiously excited about both his floor given his immediate skillset, and his ceiling given his extraordinary work ethic fueled by a chip on his shoulder for being looked over. He just got a bonfire's worth of fuel for that Inner Fire 🔥 I think his True Potential caps out somewhere between Klay and Ariza, although with a unique skillset of his own. Can't wait to see where the Man ends up, I could see a real Kuzma like rise over the next few years!

The idea that a 23 year old is a finished product is ridiculous. Most NBA players reach their prime in their late 20s. Many "old" players made huge strides---like Austin Reeves. Or Brunson. Van Vleet.
@LockedOnLakers4 ай бұрын
yeah, it's just a matter of how you view upside. If you're talking future All-NBA? Yeah, probably not. But "better than he is now, in meaningful ways?" For sure, he can do that. I think a major flaw in how Draft thought processes work is undervaluing growth if it's not the kind that makes guys "elite." BK

At the combine his athleticism was off the charts, especially in the agility drills. I was surprised to see those combine stats after all this talk he can't play defense.

I can see the narrative slowly changing. Role players are becoming significantly important. Knecht is nba ready now and has the potential to become an impactful role player. That would be a fantastic outcome. Let’s stop worrying about all nbas, all stars etc.

Question: Would I trade Dlo and Rui for Brandon Ingram? Devoiding us of a starting Pg. Reaves vs kcp / jrue Holid Knect vs Murray / brown B.i. vs mpj/Tatum Lebron vs Gordon/ white Ad vs Jokic/ porzingis Btw I don't mind us Running with Dlo and rui on the bench. I feel we are still deep. I do want Bol Bol and I think we are set.

My thing is how much better does he have to get? 😂😂😂 He was SEC player of the year on a tournament team. He scored effortlessly in the SEC (TN guy here.. Watched him..). I’m like are all the serviceable rotation players in the league conference players of the year? People don’t even know what frame of reference they’re using.

DK is someone who other teams will ask for in a trade… It’s funny so because he is 23 he will just play 12 years in the league??? Instead of 15 … You look at it like that and it’s ridiculous sounding… This is a good kid, I am a fan of his and UT basketball… I am super excited about this… He feels a lot like Dan Majerle… Great shooter … underrated athlete…
