I agree with your point ‘cause sometimes villains are fun to watch and you like the complexity of the characters but trust me there are people in this fandom who see Rafe who literally fantasize about him and are insanely obsessed with him and making people like him.

I'm sorry, Rafe is irredeemable lol. People like him cause he's attractive and occasionally shows remorse. I do feel bad for him and hope he gets help in the show, but not enough to want him to turn into a good guy. The Camerons have canonically known that he's had "something wrong with him since he was 10." He's got a lot of issues, and he's clearly partially aware of them, but I just don't think he's redeemable. He's got something literally wrong with him, and now he's probably got brain damage from coke lol. I just don't see how they could give him a redemption arch 'cause he'll never be a normal, stable human being.

They should have gotten him help at 10, but the stigma of mental health means they likely just gave Rafe everything he wanted to keep him calm instead, creating the horrible monster that he is.

@@LordVolkov No literally! And even in Season 2 when he told his dad that he wasn’t okay and needed help, he was brushed aside and told to man up. I feel like at this point in his life he’s kinda unchangeable. While he at least acknowledged that what he did to Sarah was bad, he’s never going to acknowledge Sheriff Peterkin’s death that way; I think he truly believes in his core that he was saving his father. I’m excited to see what they do with him now that Ward’s dead! I think he’s gonna turn into one of the show’s main villains.

Topper is not so bad. He is controlling of Sarah because he has heard from her sister that she is known for cheating and that she is also flirting with John B behind his back. He even asks about it and she doesn’t really deny it which doesn’t make it better. He snitches on John B because why not, from all he know John B is flirting with his girl when he is at work so if he has a chance to maybe prevent it and get him fired why would he not take it? He pushes him of the tower because he is drunk and have just experienced the worst thing you can do in a relationship, getting cheated on. So if his emotions is a bit unstable and John B is telling him to back off I think it’s understandable that he loses control for a few seconds and pushes him. You can kinda see afterwards in his face expression and in his voice that he realises what he has done and is scared and regrets it. He gets upset at Sarah that she didn’t wanna have s*x because he knew she was potentially flirting with someone else and when she almost immediately says no after she just said yes. Maybe he thinks she changed her mind because she was fancying someone else. Would also explain why he wanted to know from John B if he and Sarah have had s*x. He also didn’t want to hurt Pope when they saw him at the golf court but Rafe didn’t listen. He also starts pushing Rafe away when he starts hitting pope with the golf club. Could also see in toppers expressions after that he felt bad for Pope. After Pope sank his boat he is initially not even mad at Pope, he instead blames Rafe but Rafe and Kelce start manipulating him to think it’s indeed Popes fault. His parent situation is not helping him either. But yes sometimes he takes things too far but I think if he got treated a bit better and had better friends, he wouldn’t be such a horrible person.

First of all rafe is crazy asl no doubt but his dad ain’t shit, rafe constantly went to his dad and asked for help even saying “dad there’s something wrong w me I need help” and his dad told him no he is okay. His dad ain’t shit he only care about his baby girl Sarah which is why rafe acts the way he acts for attention bc his dad never gave it to him he only gives his attention to Sarah. So NOT TO MUCH ON RAFE. Rafe only wants his dads love and attention but his dad really fucked him up mentally.
