Here is a demonstration of how to paint beautiful landscape like true impressionist. I painted this one in two layers. I added a second layer just to add some more details. but I think it could be well done in one sitting.

This is my first time seeing an impressionist painting tutorial. My husband loves Monets art, and I've always wanted to paint a serious painting impressionist style. I'm realistic artist in oils mainly. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful gift. I hope to learn watching your video's.

The fact that sometimes when you do brush strokes it coordinates perfectly with the music. 😂 Amazing tutorial👍I'm in art honors and we are supposed to paint one of Claude Monet's paintings in like one week and I'n still trying to figure how to paint grass! At least this helps me but I scared I'll mess up and start from scratch again. 😫

I loved watching u paint this .To me it's a Peaceful painting and with the colors, I could stare at it for ever. It seems to have more detail than most expressionist painters have, which I love. When I paint I go for too much detail. Yours is perfect. Thank you for sharing.🤗 From New York state. USA.

This is a great demonstration and a beautiful painting. Can you tell me what you are doing in between your palette and painting? Solvents? Cleaning brush? I’m so new to oils and am finding my painting is taking months to dry. Thinking I’m not using enough gamsol or something.
@PaintingWithSamir

Hi ,glad you like my work. lI only use linseed oil. I simply dip the brush from time to time, that is, when I feel that the paint is not applied easily enough to the canvas. I usually use 4-5 brushes to paint one image. I specify brushes for the darkest tones, white, green, blue, etc. if necessary I wipe the brush with a paper towel and that’s it.

The goal of toning down a brand new, or freshly Gessoed canvas, is to knock down the value of the white to a mid tone while allowing the brilliance of the white canvas to filter through. ... In other words, you may use the tone to harmonize the painting, or to augment the colors of the painting. It's up to you.

I have a question about the layers- do you use turpentine for the first layer? Or do you go straight with paint with nothing? I'm not sure what I am seeing.
@PaintingWithSamir
@PaintingWithSamir 3 жыл бұрын
hi, I am not using turpentine. I am using paint straight from the tube for blocking the first layer, and when I have to paint something over I just apply paint thicker mixed with some linseed oils. this way works for me just fine,.I think it’s important to get in the habit of working one way and sticking to it in order to perfect it.
@Ayelet.M
@Ayelet.M 3 жыл бұрын
@@PaintingWithSamir Isn't the linseed oil makes the paint thinner? And which one do you recommend using? Gamblin ?
@PaintingWithSamir
@PaintingWithSamir 3 жыл бұрын
I just dip the brush a bit to make the paint go smoother on the canvas. It's a simple thick over thin, fat over lean or slow drying over fast drying.
@PaintingWithSamir
