Lakshmi Stuti in Raga Bhinna Shadja by Aarshin Karande | Bhakti Sangeet | Lakshmi Bhajan | Diwali

AARSHIN KARANDE, senior disciple of Mewati Gharana luminary SANDEEP RANADE "NAADRANG," offers a rendition of Rāga Bhinna Shadja on the occasion of Lakshmi Puja and Diwali (October 24th, 2022). This bandish, describing the glorious beauty of goddess Lakshmi, was written and composed by Pandit Maniram-ji.
Rāga Bhinna Shadja brings out the ecstatic, loving mood of this devotional bandish. Aarshin has been an admirer of Pandit Maniram-ji's music since childhood. He received this composition from Pandit Maniram-ji's son, acclaimed percussionist Pandit Dinesh-ji.
This rāga and bandish are presented humbly as an offering to the consciousness symbolized by Goddess Lakshmi.

कमल नयन द्रिग विशाल । मस्तक पर बिंद सार । अखियन मैं कजरो डार ।१।
कंचन बरन मुकुट धारन । भक्तन को मैया देती दान । लक्ष्मी माँ भरो मोरे भंडार ।२।
