No she's true. I am a civil service aspirant so i know. Laxmikanth gives the idea about articles and provisions in Constitution. But mains are quite different, they are mostly related to critical thinking. For ex- qns on constitutional morality, judicial activism etc. To solve these qns you need a high level of critical and ethical knowledge of linking topics. Laxmikanth doesn't provide these. I have completed laxmikanth 7-8 times and 80% of the book is on top of my head. I score good in prelims type mcqs. But gs 2 paper doesn't come out good. I am working on it now, something beyond laxmikanth.

Instead of interviewong toppers, they should interview candidates who qualified just by the neck.. Or people who couldn't qualify or people who qualified after several attempts. That's the kind of motivation that could actually help.
