(no spoilers clarifications) - Yamada got flustered about the waiting in the line thing cause she acknowledged by accident it was a date and was afraid Ichikawa heard it haha -boys going in front of girls in stairs usually is because boys are taller, then their eyesight becomes closer. Yamada didn't want Ichikawa in front of her because Ichikawa is shorter so it makes sense for him to go on the back here. -another super cute thing is that throughout the whole episode Yamada is egging Ichikawa for him to call her Cute but never works. The closest time was when he said that dress looks good on her, thats why felt like she just accepted as a consolation prize hahah. - The Author revealed that the Yamada Santa bit was a thing she did with a boyfriend once. Made me think how many cute things Yamada does that actually was the author herself haahh. -The thing about the Imaginary Kyotaro, even tho it tries to show other perspectives, it is still him so it is quite insecure hahah Damn I love this show toooo much. Waiting the last reacts wuhul this is too good, I love how hype u get with the show XD

@@dpolaristar4634 You’re misunderstanding. They are saying that *the author* (Norio Sakurai) once did the Santa bit to a boyfriend that the *author* once had. Not a boyfriend that Yamada once had.

You know I was kinda surprised that it was a female author who wrote this, because at first I just took for granted it was going to be some male fantasy of getting the hot girl who's out of his league. But then the show turned out to be more than that which is a pleasant surprise.

Speaking as a male (with many years experience) ... When you're young, incorrectly thinking a hot girl likes you just because she's nice is a SERIOUS danger. When you're young, it is very difficult to tell the difference between a girl just being nice, and a girl being nice because she likes you.

Oh hell man.. When you are in your early teens as a boy, you won't recognize ANY of the signs. Goes right over your head. I look back on my early years and realize now there were probably two or three girls who had been trying to show their interest in me, and my dumb ass just goofily let it all go. "You walking home?" Nah, my dad picks me up (walks away). "You'd look good with this style of haircut. You should consider it!" Eh, I like my hair this way. After sitting on the steps finishing some homework with her "Help me up, hold my hand while I get up from the steps." Just help her and move on like it was nothing. Lol. She probably thought I wasn't interested, while I'm just obliviously thinking "she's a nice and friendly classmate".

I think Yamada already knows Ichikawa's feelings at this point. She already behaves as if they were dating, but she holds back because she knows he would run away if she used a very direct attitude (and there is also the issue that she is only 13/14 years old, so she has no experience)

I think you are very wrong and backwards in Yamada understandably "not being sure" vs Ichikawa "he has no excuse" When you are a young man you learn very early when your young how much it hurts if you guess a girl likes you when she was just being "nice" and when you get it wrong its embarassing at best and traumatizing at worst if she is mean about it and gossips, after that you overcorrect in the opposite direction and assume she is always being "nice." Ichikawa very clearly knows Yamada likes him he just rationalizes it away because he doesn't want to have hope to have it dashed, remember the story about the game console last episode, when he thinks he can't have something (Or doesn't deserve it.) He finds every reason why he can't and it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Girls might have a hard time comprehending this, because you gals seem to have the opposite problem of getting lots of often unwanted attention. Yamada knows very well Ichikawa likes him, as "curt" as he is he does lots of things guys would only do if they were into a girl, and unlike Ichikawa she has no confidence issues in how pretty she is in terms of attracting boys, we've seen throughout the series she often gets hit on, or has guys eye her up, or make lewd remarks a lot. No Hot girl is ever under any delusion that there aren't many guys drooling after her. She just wants Ichikawa to acknowledge it and make a move, probably because she knows if she is too direct she might scare him off.
