Fantastic presentation. The teaching was made easy to comprehend. Also love the Lama's manner of speaking. Thank you Lama Lena.

I really appreciate how you presented these teachings in a way that feels very accessible to apply, eg. right attitude. I think these teaching apply to this life as much as the dying process. We can start now to live in a way that will support naturally going to the brighter lights, letting go, not grasping, and adding a bit of WEEEEEE sauce. 🙏💥

II had a near death experience and, sincerely, it was one of the best experiences of my life -- top five. And, people, it was so interesting because I got there before my mind and I wasn't really aware that my mind wasn't there until it came onto the scene and then it was "oh, who invited you?" I did experience "All potential in perfect equipoise" at least that was the information I was given and I was in this no thing space that was soft but looked like the light glowing off a grey pearl. My body wasn't there nor was my mind at first. Time wasn't there. Sorry this is boring but I love remembering it. Never fear death everyone who comes back says it's great!

I guess the movie Ven. Lama Lena talks about is Flatliners. I loved the speech. It's not hard to fall in love with the speaker.

I think the movie you are thinking of was Flatliners - medical students testing the borders of death... great movie. And a great talk - thank you for you for your teachings.

when the fire element dissolved the background noise went quite and a stillness was felt , thank you so much for these teachings, Norbu Rinpoche was my teacher since 2002 , and during retreat he spoke of the process of death, lately I recollected these teachings and I had questions I could no longer ask him... He said we will see two lights , one blue one white, and he said to move towards ?... I could not remember, did he say do not move towards the blue light and move towards the white, or was it the other way round?... can you say why he was talking about this blue light and white light , I have questions now that I did not have then, the precious teachings of the Dzogchen ...

In general, what begins to show up in the bardo are the essential lights of the 5 Wisdom Buddhas. It isn't so much that you should go to one particular color of light, but rather that you should always choose to go to the brightest light rather than a dim one. The brightest light is the wisdom light. It is frightening to us because it represents egolessness, complete letting go. Those bright lights manifest simultaneously with a dim or dull light that is connected with the confusion aspect of the bright light. So, for instance, the bright blue light is the light of all-pervasive wisdom. It's confused aspect manifests as a dull white light that represents ignorance. We tend to want to go to the dull lights because they seem more comforting, familiar. The bright light of wisdom is uncompromising to ego perspective so we tend to shy away from it out of fear. These aspects are showing up all the time in our regular lives - the natural bardo of this life - but we tend to not recognize them. So, we tend to be drawn to the cigarette that will make us feel safe instead of staying present with the brilliance of wisdom. What you may have confused in terms of Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche's explanation is the arising of the natural state of our mind as a white light that we have an opportunity to recognize as our own nature. But if we miss that, then the 5 wisdom lights begin to appear. Everywhere there is opportunity to recognize one's nature, but we tend to have habitual patterns that make us shy away from those opportunities.

@@LamaLenaTeachings thank you for responding to my question regarding Blue and White light , re when the elements have dissolved and we see two light's. Your response to this question bought clarify to the teachings and understanding 🙏 The bright Blue light our primordial wisdom , bright white light our clear light illuminous body is what we move towards , and bright Blue if we miss that Train 😊 is this correct ? My understanding through Dzogchen is the blue light represent our true nature, I would of thought the Bright Blue light is what we move towards Is this because the White light represent our clear light illuminous body? 🙏 Om Ah Hum geshla

Yes, made me giggle too. There are teachings that talk about how to direct one's next rebirth to one of the Pure Lands. She has referred to this in some of her other teachings. You might ask her during one of the Q and A's
