Loving it! Remember Ozzie’s first two picks are Hall of Fame players and Lamar is his mic drop! He ended his tenure as general manager with a pick questioned by pundits, but he was right again! Only Ozzie look at the draft and believed Joe Flacco could exceed Matt Ryan as a professional player. He was simply the best general manager to do it!

Lamar has had one of the quickest rises from “Very good” tier, to “all time great” tier. Ravens fans have seen it this whole time, but the guy is simply one of the best ever. It’s a shame casual fans let team results dictate what they think of a player when the film is right there for them to watch.

There just wasn't a team in the league that was willing to commit to building around Lamar's skill set at the time, but the Ravens weren't afraid to take that chance and leaned into progressing the mobile QB schemes specifically for him, while also developing his accuracy as a passer. Now, it seems like more people are warming up to the dynamics of the mobile QB, and how it can help pull defenses thin, but Lamar still comes from a special breed of athlete.

Harbaugh had to support Greg Roman who I'm still not sure is that inept naturally or turned the volume on his crappy play-calling to 11. That's not the end of things though. You can't tell an HC to sell his soul like that then later expect him to go back to winning. Cripes, they're named after a character in a poem written by the same guy who wrote "The Telltale Heart." This has been eating away at Harbs ever since. It's hard to focus on winning when a large part of your subconscious wants you to receive punishment for the deliberate losing you did before.

Been saying this for years, qbs that can run the ball should be a must for any team. If a pocket collapse you got a guy that can either get back to the line, step up act as is he’s running, fake the run throw the ball, I mean it seemed logical af when I was in middle school and high school. As a life long Ravens fan since 1996, Lamar's rise has been unbelievable. That 2019 season showed how elite LJ could be, going 20-3 in his first 2 seasons. Getting better year after year his rise is comparable to Ed Reed from rookie of the year to DPOY in 2004. Offensive coordinators feared Reed, just like Defensive coordinators fear Lamar.

@@PesoEdison & his own play-callers. While Monken seems to _design_ good plays, he can't call or disguise them in any sort of order that can confuse opposing teams. (That's what was behind Mike Tomlin's comments). He can't improvise. Week 1 the failed last TD? He ran that play _3 times in a row!!!_ He already is showing signs of early-onset dementia & that isn't a joke. For large chunks of games he forgets over 90% of the plays &/or can't shift within them. Again, week 1: he started rushing with Henry in the 1st quarter, then switched to Lamar in the 2nd & 3rd, then back to Henry in the 4th. But he never once mixed it up going back & forth. He forgets plays, focuses in on very few for long periods of time & forgets Henry is on the team Every Single Game.

People who gripe about Lamar do it for two basic reasons...1. They don't fully understand the value of a versatile QB. 2. I refer to #2 as the "Michael Jordan Effect", where he's mostly criticized because he not on their team, but if he were he'd be the best thing since sliced bread. The rest are those who think only a Super Bowl win constitutes a "great QB" while a smaller percentage has more...primitive opinions.
