Before we even hit the exit to Hershey, PA where we saw them, people were yelling "fuckinn Slayerrr" out their car windows. People at the show had t-shirts on that said the same thing. It was amazing, just when I thought they couldn't possibly sound any tighter or faster, they took it up to a notch that I didn't know existed. 😳 Guys that have been doing it for 37 years. And the Pyrotechnics were sick as fuck. When they did Hell Awaits, there were fire curtains on either side of the stage. ☠🤘 We just got tickets to see these guys with Trivium, and Megedeth in July. Yeah i'm going to call bullshit on that. In Resolution, the drumming was one of the stars of the show; it was smashing your face in constantly. Brutal, precise, godly. In everything since Chris left, it's pretty unremarkable and you never think 'wow that drumming is incredible' at all, like you would do after pretty much every verse when Chris was around. New guy is fine, but Gene Hoglan and Chris Adler are 2 of the best drummers in the industry, and you can't really get around that.

I took him to his first show for an earIy 14th birthday present and he later told me it was the best present ever. We saw Breaking Ben, Three Days Grace with Adam and Seether. Excellent show. Ashes of the Wake, Sacrament, and Wrath (for me) took it to the next level.. it wasn't just some heavy shit that sounded good and made good workout music.. it was adrenaline pumping, heart pounding, excitement ... it could induce hate with no lyrics sung ready to take on anything. I don't know if it is cliché, but HIS double bass techniques.. WOW. Considering that each instrument as well as Randy's vocals left you with that feeling made those 3 albums knock your fuckin socks off amazing.

When Chris left I was very doubtful they would find a drummer that could fill his shoes, but I am so glad they did. Chris Adler is still my favorite drummer of all time though.
