Saw it on Tuesday. Really loved it. One of my films of the year. Noomi just always delivers.

Same, i thought it was fantastic! ..and yeah Noomi always kills it but what shocked me was the mother sheep's acting, kind of intense!

@@elevenAD Yeah, this has some of the best animal acting I've seen in a long time.

glad Mark liked this one. LAMB really stuck with me because of its fable-esque quality, not because of whatever “horror” aspects were in it (although i did like them). i thought it was very touching

I loved this film. The ending is ridiculous and out of place but the rest of it is great. Gripping throughout and stays with you

Where can I watch it in the U.K. ?!

Is it "scary"? The trailer makes it seem spooky. Does the trailer accurately capture the tone of the movie?
@elevenAD2 жыл бұрын
No it is not scary at all, it has an ominous quality if that makes any sense and the trailer does capture this. This movie is about love, selfishness, betrayal, happiness, and loss all above horror.

I'm watching it now and I'd say "unsettling" is also a good word for it. As an animal lover and a mother it is really heartbreaking to watch at times. So far it's a beautiful fascinating movie...

What a boring, disappointing slog felt like a 15-20 minute short stretched to 100.

My rather troubling issue with Mark Kermode, is that he is one of the smuggest folk on the telly with whom I find myself in agreement more often than not. How annoying.😳

I found this film to be unusually terrible. Don't understand what was so great about it other than the beautiful landscapes and use of the Icelandic language which is still fairly rare but...this felt like an art film trying too hard to be something it's not. Sorry! Some of these surrealist films don't work despite all the critics hype about it. Same thing with TITANE which was a joke on the audience. There are better foreign titles out there.
@RecliningFurniture2 жыл бұрын
Why 'unusually' terrible? Why more terrible than most terrible films? Lamb is pretty good at shaking up lazy expectations, which is something it has in common with Titane. That serves both films well. But surely in both cases you must have known well in advance that these were not films for you. What on Earth possessed you to see them, when the chances of you genuinely appreciating either were so obviously slight to non-existent?

@@RecliningFurniture I wouldn’t bother they’re a critic without anything constructive to say. It’s essentially just jealously with a dash of insecurity
