Gojira - Heaviest Matter Of The Universe Guitar Cover

I'm loving this amp amp sim from Neural DSP - Archetype: Nolly. I didn't do anything to my recording except pan it 80% each way. No compression, no eq, nothing. I’ve had my 5150 for years and know it really well. All the subtle nuances and fidelity is captured perfectly here, I can’t fault it. I highly recommend it to anyone who plays modern metal. The software has 4 different amps, several cabs etc with loads of pre and post effects to help create a great tone.

So far this has been the toughest Gojira song to play, the timing changes and riffs need to be super tight. Such a fantastic band, I'm glad they're getting the recognition they deserve.

What kind of headphones do you use? I need to get a pair but there’s so many out there that I don’t know what’s good and what’s meh

For the most part you can just pick a price range and look up "best headphones under $x" and a bunch of lists will pop up comparing different popular high-end headphones. Just make sure it isn't some consumer website or something comparing Beats and Bose, popular high end headphone makers include Sennheiser, Audio Technica, Beyerdynamic, AKG. Look up on the differences between "Closed-back" and "Open-back" and figure out which one seems more ideal for what you think you would prefer. Neither of them are better, but some prefer one over another. Some of the most popular mid-range studio-style headphones are the Sennheiser HD 559, and the Audio Technica ATH-M50x. Both are objectively good, but have very different ergonomics and one is open back while the other is closed back. Those are both right around the $100 price range.

No joke, I will literally pay someone if they can explain how this was done. How do u get the track without the rhythm guitar so u can play the parts? Is this a computer program like pro logic or something? I’m locked up in an apartment with a bunch of guitars and nothing to do. Please, will someone please tell me what I need to acquire to do this with other songs? I’m so desperate to learn or understand that I’ll literally pay someone to explain how people do this. I see countless videos of guys playing along to their favorite jams.... HOW? Please, please someone explain it to me? I will be forever grateful

You don’t need to pay anyone. It’s a pain in the arse. You get drum software and map out the drums. Learn the bass parts and record them, then learn the guitar parts and record them in front of a camera. It’s a process that takes me all week. If you’re lucky you come across tracks other people have created. I don’t analyze the original and remove sections like Karaoke. Search KZbin for isolated instrument tracks and build on them. I can play my guitar without bothering anyone, conveniently access all my presets instantly, not waste time setting up microphones, I can sit wherever I want without hearing string noise, if I don’t like the mix at the end I can make changes to the tone and this tone sounds better than what I can capture through my 5150. They did a stellar job creating this amp sim. I’m sure there’s other reasons but they’re a few that come to mind.
