@@jimanders9971 i reckon tyres are one reason as you can wreck a back tyre quickly. Go on the bright side as a car tyre goes a good 15k miles and it still handles really well ive heard. What a great, solid, under stressed, strong AF engineand gearbox, especially after 2007. What bargains the rocket 3, thunderbird 1600 and 1700s are secondhand, theyll go to und the clock in miles and 40 mpg and that low down stomp is crazy, especially as its standard, detunes and 340 plus bhp out of TTS supercharger and rediculous torque too means head cases only apply and i imagine those BLUE Angels from Glasgow would fit the profile as does the Bar, loony, undesirables, eccentrics label theyre famous for and Glasgow and the citys history.

My 2016 Triumph Rocket III is highly modified & highly customized with 12:1 compression, 260hp & 190ft/lbs of torque. 18" apehanger handlebars, and forward foot controls, etc. 0-60 in -2.3sec and the 1/4 mile in -9.6sec @ 138mph. Blacked out, murdered out. A Beast, and an Utter Blast to ride. It will make the most seasoned rider giggle😂 I simply can't ride it enough. I have to replace tires every 3000mi, front & rear. The cost is utterly ridiculous for these tires😢 But worth it!😅 Stay Safe Ya'll!!!

I folded up a 2013 Rocket 3 at the Bonneville Salt Flats in 2023, it was 260 horsepower. The salt was very wet and the bike had a bad weave but still we had a 162 and 164 mph runs before crashing on the the third run. It wasn't my bike and my first ride was at 162 mph. This year I'll be taking a 2021 Rocket 3 out there again this year but with only 165 horsepower.

317Kg!! Holy dead weight Batman 😲, that is a serious lump of iron to throw around! Straight line performance to die for without a doubt plus the comfort a sports bike rider can only dream of. It may well handle well "for it's size" but a sports hack it ain't and never pretends to be of course. I guess it all depends how high you set the bar through the twisties. Not really my bag at all but I can see the appeal to some, just as a SOTA 200+hp sports bike pulling 100+Kg less will appeal to others.

Had my TFC variant for over 4 years now (same power output as the Storm). Been on many tours, very comfortable. Attended Rocketdays in Germany this year (and last). 100 rockets riding in formation through the east German countryside is joy to participate in. The quickshifter is sublime. Well worth the investment. I'm comfortable at motorway speeds, sitting about 80-90 when on touring Europe. TFC has Arrow exhausts, perfect soundtrack! Best bike on the planet!

LambChop, I showed my wife the 2024 Hayabusa 25th anniversary, 2024 Ducati Diavel V4 and then the Rocket 3 Storm, and she said she loves the look of the Rocket 3 Storm much better than the other two bikes. My wife loves that 'masculine' look to the Rocket 3 Storm; not that the other 2 bikes are not masculine; but she feels that the Rocket is a level or two above the other 2 bikes... Hmmm......her tastes are normally spot on, I'll have to trust her on this one...hehehe Once you put on an exhaust and flash the ECU that number goes up to around 187 horses. Theoretically, that bike should be able to hit 180 mph on the road...

I definitely prefer a 'shiny' Rocket, the blacked out Storm is a step back in appearance for me. Having looked into it, it looks like the only aftermarket exhaust where an effort has been made to sculpt it like the original, is a Zard. There seems to be a lot of talk that the sweet spot is the GT fitted with mid pegs. The wheels look better on the GT.
