A gunker is going to be an infected butcher who has succumbed to the Emulsion parasite. The amount of physical changes that have been undertaken by the previous butcher is very interesting and definitely deserves a look through! So lets discuss its lore and biology!

I feel like there should’ve been more Gunker types. Imagine a Mauler Gunker (The Boomers with shields). It’s got its giant arm with its old shield imbedded into it covering its weak point meanwhile the explosive mace it wielded before transforming has its explosive radius increased due to the fact that the Lambents are explosive and corrosive in nature. Love the Lambents but I felt they needed more variety with enemies. Also it’s Imulsion btw not Emulsion

They might of had different types but maybe it was designed not to have multiple types since the weapons of the boomers did vary from boomer to boomer since multiple boomers with different armaments could be seen on the battlefield at the same time, having multiple types of gunkers might of made a creature already a bit of a threat a bit too much to deal with especially since you're forced to fight one a very tightly packed segment of Gears 3.

The problem was that epic is an engine developer first that had a small team that would make unreal tournament to show off new engines and major updates. One of their unreal tournament builds became gears of war. Eventually they transferred the gears rights to Microsoft with a few gears writers and Microsoft dropped the ball and made a tolerable but mainly focused on multiplayer and loot boxes with a broken natural unlock system and overall trash matchmaking similar to halo 5. Microsoft also did a master chief collection quality job when making the gears of war ultimate edition which had skin dlc because they wanted to sell dlc for a game of they year edition game. So blame Microsoft for putting greed over unique characters.

I'm usually too busy shooting the crap out of it and rolling around like I'm playing Dark Souls, especially on Insane where being close enough to the blast radius to take damage would immediately kill you. Been watching your channel for like a week now. loving the biology based information you focus on + the lore. When you finish covering say dead space or halo, you may enjoy covering resident evil or parasite eve. both are pretty interesting series's when it comes to transformations, "science" and monsters. also both dont really have any information covering them on youtube. Imulsion reminds me a bit of Tiberium. Like Tiberium, when it is detonated by the light mass weapon, it increases contamination (Tiberium contamination was increased when an Ion cannon hit a particularly concetrated deposit of tiberium, I think liquid tiberium). Like tiberium, imulsion is an important resource.

Great video dude. So in Gears of War 3 what do think Adam Fenix cure was made of because it crystallized the Locusts I cannot think of anything in nature that crystallizes so fast can do a you about the affect of the cure?

well if it affected a certain structure of the cell and caused it to become a solid structure than a liquid structure I could see it affecting the creature! although the crystal is literally almost liken to a cacoon that butterflies go into, they melt down and reform into a winged creature. Intersting how the locust did this and became even worse
