You could only wish this was new and just came out of the studio. This song was an absolute monster when it was released. And honestly, do we need the cookie monster voice on every fuckin song. Maybe the LOG singer should of sat this one out. This since he didn't like speed metal, and loves to pronounce he comes from such a punk background. Yet, his cookie monster voice is not punk rock and has made a living from being part of the aggressive metal scene. Go figure. @@TinS0lder I highly doubt it.. For starters Mustaine greatly respects Adler and has nothing but good to say about the work they did together for Dystopia.. Adler won a Grammy for his work with the band.. Willie Adler is a big Megadeth fan and Peace Sells is his favourite album.. Lamb of God are one of the biggest bands to come after Megadeth and the Big 4.. The relationship is good and has been when Chris Adler was with them and is still after Chris chose to leave to focus on different things.. Lamb of God has now tours for 2 years with Megadeth.. And did so for a year with Chris playing in both bands.. Lamb of God are like Megadeths sons.. Theyve become almost family. So a cover seems more than appropriate at this point. And I'd expect nothing less than something from Willie and Chris' favourite Megadeth album.

@Dex000 ride the lightning is not the pinnacle of thrash. Very good album, but not the pincle of thrash. Killing Is My Business and Business Is Good is probably the pinnacle of thrash. Rust in Peace is the best technical thrash metal album. I do like ride the lightning, very easy to listen to album. But it's rock compared to what thrash is supposed to be.
@RA-gy1ft Жыл бұрын
I was born in 93 and I knew of Megadeth since I was out of the womb. One of the perks of having Metalhead parents🤘 You'll soon realize no one is like Megadeth. The more you search, the more you uncover how godly Dave Mustaine and the rest Megadeth was in the 80s and 90s. Every professional will tell you Dave is an alien on guitar. His ability to write lead type riffs while singing, and the temp changes with time signatures and blah blah blah, we can talk music theory all day. Bottom line is Dave Mustaine is a Legend to the Legends
@nongovernment3606 Жыл бұрын
@@RA-gy1ft It is not just Megadeth and dave that are unique like that. I mean I do 100% agree I have not heard one band that can play and sound exactly like Megadeth the way megadeth sounds but the same applies to Slayer and Black Sabbath/Ozzy. Yeah anyone can play like them and sound like them musically, but no one writes or sings like them. I could also extend that list to Freddy Mercury, as without a lot of editing no one has yet been able to duplicate those voices. I feel the same way about Cliff. yeah all these bassists can sound like Cliff but no one has written music on a bass to sound like he did.

The production here is amazing, the guitars sound punchy, tight and transparent, the bass is thick, growly and still crystal clear (listen to those first three notes of the breakdown at 2:37, it slaps like a goddamn whip, how much weight and power it adds to the guitars!) the drums sound like real drums and the player is kickass. Great leads, and the contrasting vocals add a really cool flavor. This cover just shows you that the song is absolutely timeless and still feels as fresh and unique as it did when it came out.
