No matter what anyone says about the events of the Prague 2010 concert, Randy's actions during his returns to the Czech Republic in 2012 and 2013 will forever hold my respect. After the initial arrest and remand, Randy was able to leave the country, and CHOSE to later return to face trial, aware that he was looking at a possible 5-10 year sentence in Czech prison. The efforts he took to show his remorse to the family of the victim, and to uphold the proper course of justice, speak volumes on his character. Out of all the people I have looked up to in my life, this man's integrity is second-to-none. The story of Daniel Nosek and Randy Blythe is one I will never forget. I hope none of you forget either.

Six bars laid across the sky Four empty walls to fill the time One careless word, you lose your life A grave new world awaits inside Lycanthropic survival instincts Embrace the beast and shun the weak Awake the primal one that sleeps inside Or feel the shiv(er) running through your spine The time is slipping by no peace in sight But the teeth of time still hold their bite My hands are painted red My future's painted black I can't recognize myself, I've become someone else My hands are painted red Schizophrenic amnesia Bid goodbye to all you knew and loved Forget the only life that you knew outside They bought the ticket, now you take the ride The time is slipping by no peace in sight But the teeth of time still hold their bite My hands are painted red My future's painted black I can't recognize myself, I've become someone else My hands are painted red Another number quickly learns the rules A hidden burner waits to point at you A subtle gesture and you're ventilated Talk isn't cheap here, bleed out in payment Six bars laid across the sky Four empty walls to fill the time My hands are painted red My future's painted black I can't recognize myself, I've become someone else My hands are painted red

I often hear how the music of today is so much worse than generations before us, but I don't believe that to be true you just gotta be open minded enough find music like this and immortalize it, Lamb of God will be one of the bands we look back on in our old and grey times and most will say the exact same thing "they don't make em now like they used to"

So true..... it´s esay just hearing the radio and top 10 bullcrap and hard to go out whit an open mind and explore world of music and find your real taste in music for exemple me, metal is life but i like(bit) also hardbass why????? I have no fukcin clue and to be honest i don´t care, i just like thats it the end. But also being old is not reason to spot liking modern music.
@Howesenberg
@Howesenberg 8 жыл бұрын
lucy lucy Very true! music is there to support or change how you feel, that's what we take from it and that's what connects people, we spend far too much time concerning ourselves with opinions on others music taste than accepting that it speaks to them, even if the likes of Drake and Adele don't speak to me.

The chorus lyrics hit me hard every single time, but not necessarily due to personal experience. It’s the thought that the idea of possibly contributing to the death of a person (even though confusion, doubt, and fear was still evident) was heavily weighing down on Randy’s mind. I was at that tour as well. LoG was killer, just as good as they've always been (saw them for the first time in 2006!) Megadeth on the other hand; I've always been a fan, and seen them perform great live in the past, but Dave Mustaine is truly washed out and past his prime at this point; their show was disappointing. Hangar 18 and Holy Wars...major decline from 15 yrs ago. Ruin and Laid to Rest...just as good now as in '06.

512 is clearly about Randy's time in prison over the kid who died at one of their shows. Thats where the 4 empty walls came from clearly taking about prison. Red hands = blood.

They are the best metal band to have ever existed thus far. Hi, I'm Pastor Jack. I've been a Pastor for a few years now. Nothing will remove from me the beauty that is metal music. Jesus loves good music. When people use the talents that they were given they glorify God. As does this band. All hail Jesus, but also....all hail Metal.

Digy Metal humm so if we make a small analogy between the music video and Randy's story: the dead girl in the MV is the dead fan, the blond guy who dies in the end is randy: he didn't kill her but, just cause his attitude implies so, was found guilty by association and punished for his "crime". the black_faced homeless guy that we see in the forrest and in the end of the video is either the true murderer which explains why he smiled at the end or the witness, the second theory implies that the dude crying by the river is the murderer (he loved the girl so maby it was a crime of passion which makes more sence caus the fan's death was caused by his passion for metal music). Again all these are theories xD maybe LOG will explain to us the real meaning of the video :D

I think that, aside from the obvious part of the song being Randy's story from his time in the Czech prison, the underlying theme is the forced transformation of who you are in order to survive a specific situation or course of events. Listen to the words in a different way, amazing how lyrics can have so many meanings to a listener, killer fucking song 🤘🏻
