That's way more Slipknot than the other ones released so far. Killer dark and heavy guitar riffs, that's what I was expecting. I think it just misses some melodic vocals and then it would be perfect.

This is one of the best songs this band has ever produced. Coming from a guy whose favorite band is Slipknot. I know their whole catalog, in and out. Unreal man. I still get cold shivers on the delivery of that last line; “I haven’t smiled in years...” Just hits like a ton of bricks.

100% agree, TBH I don't know much of their stuff and not a huge fan of the songs I do know but this song I listen to over and over and if you read up about it he deliberately put this song last on the album and particularly that line at the end. He expresses real emotions from himself and it shows, not just producing music for money like so many other musicians 🤘I will definitely be listening to more of their stuff and hope i find more i like from slipknot. ✌

I like bands evolving and experimenting - sometimes it can be bad, sometimes good or great. I love Subliminal Verses, and The Gray Chapter is a step-up from All Hope Is Gone which was... eh, I can't say it was terrible but it isn't an album I have revisited often. What I want is Slipknot to deliver an album that blows the shoes off of my feet, because they are still capable. Solway Firth is that. It doesn't feel as polished as anything they've done since Iowa, it's quite raw and very heavy. This is a great Slipknot song. 🤘🏻
