Insane that Randy sounds just like he did back in 2004. These dudes are a true mainstay in the metal community.

Definitely his mid vox sounds dope. Obviously with age the high register in fry screams becomes more taxing and difficult to pull off. Randy is the vocalist that made me want to become a frontman and the day he puts the mic down will be a sad day. Long live LoG

Seriously considering making the 6 hour drive across Iowa to Omaha in August to see them play the record on its entirety. Last time I heard them play this song (and The Faded Line) live was on the Unholy Alliance Tour. Surprised they aren't coming to Illinois/Missouri/Wisconsin/Indiana at all for this tour.

Privileged, a chosen few Blessed with our time in hell Witness a divine vision The day we all fell still Rapture of the dying age Our shattered hourglass Wrath of the warring gods And so this too shall pass It's only getting worse Not worth a moment's regret Each dawn another curse Every breath a twisting blade What will be left behind in the ashes of the wake? An ill wind blows this way The edge of the envelope burns Forbearance and my vengeance Payment for your intent Fear and death in the wings In thrall of those fallen from grace Petty is as petty does Witness the mass disgrace God forbid you read the signs Watch for meanings between the lines Gehenna has now arrived No hindsight for the blind Your trust has been misplaced Believed the lies told to your face Became another casualty and Now it's too late You finally made it home Draped in the flag that you fell for And so it goes The ashes of the wake It's only getting worse

I think the mix in Killadelphia is better. Vocals are louder and have reverb, guitar tone is crunchier and doesn't sound as clean, and the kick drum has a more of a kick (for lack of a better description). Listen to Hourglass or The Faded Line from Killadelphia and I think you'll hear a big difference. This is still really good though.

Why do people complain? He seems to be absolutely kicking ass, and nailed this song, it pretty much sounded like album drumming to me. He seems to be a great student of Chris too, just learning his stuff, getting the sound of the kit to match Chris's kit during his time with the band, etc. I think people just want to complain for the sake of it. Art is immensely talented and the new album is proof of that. He isn't Chris, but it's mighty arguable, at least to me, that he might be better. You could argue either way.
