@higler.9 жыл бұрын
+StormshadowGames Sure can! It really amazes me how you can almost hold the pick anyway you want, and as long as you practice your ass off it won't really matter. Look at guys like Marty Friedman, Misha Mansoor, Ola Englund and Willie here... they all hold the pick really odd, but you cannot deny their talents.
@StormshadowGames9 жыл бұрын
+higler420 I think Marty has the weirdest style I've seen. I've tried to do it and it just makes 0 sense to me. but hey, he can shred like a mofo with that, and to him, that's proper picking technique. it's just whatever works for you, is what you should do
@higler.9 жыл бұрын
+StormshadowGames Yep, watching the old Cacophony vids with him and Jason are insane, and then seeing him riffing away with Megadeth and still picking like he does, obviously it works for him. But he was going to practice enough to make anything work.

There is no denying that Mark is perhaps a better guitarist *overall*. But Willie is definitely a great one as well. I know from The Making Of Sacrament that Willie is the one that usually comes up with great riffs. But he is not quite good at solo like Mark.
