Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 testing on wet/humid Misano: Traction Control Noise, Slides & Sound!

You know pretty well that I'm a huge fan of recording some motorsport action in wet conditions. As well as making things more difficult for the drivers and allowing me to record some powerslides coming out of corners, it also allows you to visualize the work of aerodynamics through water spray and hear the intervention of the traction control every now and then. So here's a compilation about the Huracán GT3 EVO2s of V.S.R. Vincenzo Sospiri Racing in action at Misano Circuit during some pre-season tests by Kateyama from a few months ago!
At the beginning of the 2023 season Lamborghini was one of the various manufacturers that unveiled an updated version of their GT3-class weapon, with an eye towards 2024 with the introduction of the 2024 LMGT3-class of the FIA WEC. The Huracán GT3 has reached its third generation with an interesting upgrade package (called 'EVO2'), always developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse.
The main aesthetic characteristics that distinguish the EVO2 from the previous GT3 EVO are for sure the new airscoop and rear fin, taken from the Huracán Super Trofeo race cars. The scoop was introduced to contribute to greater efficiency of the intake system and it's connected to a snorkel which optimally channels the airflow directly into the engine. This also allowed to remove the two side air vents on the upper part of the GT3 EVO body and reshape it for better air flow to the rear wing. Other visible changes have been made to the rear diffuser, there's a new front splitter and new front and rear bumpers with design elements that refer to the Huracán STO model.
The engine is still the reliable 5.2-litre V10 unit which has been further improved with the introduction of 10 electronically actuated throttle bodies that boost the efficiency of the titanium-valved V10. I also noticed that some work has been done on engine mapping since the EVO2 has more explosive upshifts plus a crackling overrun with more aggressive downshifts compared to the previous EVO generation (you can also spots some little flames from the exhaust on downshifts). So happy that the GT3 EVO's distinctive whistle generated by some body parts at higher speed has remained on the EVO2.

God I’m not ready for these to go. The sound of the lambo and R8 is the most thrilling thing in a GT3 race. Even in a pack of 30 coming down the main straight, all you hear is their up shifts. You can feel it in your chest each time. I love it so much

Where are they going? Cars last quite a while, and then men build new ones. These should last about a year in top condition, at least - and perhaps another 50-to-500 years with good maintenance. Imagine, in 100 years, the engines men create could sound even better; especially the NA V12s and V10s.

Are we witnessing the death of another generation of gt3 cars? The 488 was replaced, the r8 is gone, the huracan will soon be replaced, so will the amg and bmw just came up with an evo to the original m4. I feel like the 2020 generation is slowly going away.
