LAMBORGHINI ISSUES! My Worst Car Choice for Gumball 3000?

It's a mammoth drive over 1,000km (650 miles), and I've definitely chosen the worst of my 6 cars for it! We're onboard my Lamborghini Huracan STO for Gumball 3000 day 3 from Amsterdam to the Swiss Alps. The daily car swaps are going to plan, but it's not all plain sailing...!
The 24th annual Gumball 3000 is taking us from Edinburgh to Montenegro, this being my 9th time participating and doing it in the most complicated way possible. Over the course of the six driving days, I'm swapping every night between six different Shmeemobiles with all the transport and logistics having been prepared in advance.
For the start line in Scotland, the car of choice was my Zenvo TSR-S, before then departing London with my Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series that we drove to Amsterdam, The Netherlands. This day begins with another car swap into the Huracan STO, and a dodge of the Dutch cyclists as we get on the roads for a very, very long leg of 1,048km / 651 miles.
The checkpoint takes us to a previously undisclosed location of Abbaye d'Auberive in France before crossing into the Alps and a wet run up to Verbier to meet a very patient crowd!

A very enlightening video. I can’t believe how many speed cameras were on those roads in Switzerland. It makes me thankful for where I live in spite of the fabulous scenery there. It's a controlled burn to prevent fires on the side of freeways. It's common here in America. They probably had a lot of side debris from the trees and grass that was dead. It helps the grass regrow after it cools, and they put new seed and hay down.

I feel like there used to be more at the stops. Thinking the US Gumball with the stadium etc. And in the past with the car parks with you just running around so many cars. Now it's mostly just the tour, which is still cool, but I feel like it's the stops that really set Gumball apart.

Shemee those are controlled "forest fires" to make sure the larger ones don't happen. They burn the debris on the side of the road so sparks etc don't start fires.

Made me chuckle when shmee mentioned about waiting at the first fuel stop. I’m sure with the mileage due to be done during the day, I can imagine having a busy forecourt at the pumps isn’t great - but thankfully they’re filling with proper petrol, not electric! Guess if the fans know where to be, the rozzers will know too even if they haven’t been told by organisers - they’ll rely on the fact that someone on the proper tour will not be as well prepared as Tim and give it the berries, forgetting the 80k limit. Tim, you were the rock star in vernier - the best and nicest rock star, but the rock star all the same! Definitely should have had nickleback playing in town for you.

enjoying your series. did not think I would. I am a Mustang fan and as I know the GT500 is not widely exported. Your Lime green one would have been an epic choice. (except maybe the miliage would be a pain) Would have loved seeing that in the Alps. You already know it is a good travelling machine. And it would have been the only one in the lineup. I think the only change that may have made more sense was to use the 675LT for the long leg as it is incredibly comfortable and used the 2 Italian cars in the section driven in Italy. But alas, it’s an STO. Long drives mean lots of pops and bangs. And this does that in spades.
